Hillsboro, while oakes is very good, i dont think that they can stop the combination of power and speed of hillsboro. As a team, Oakes is very fast but the size and power of hillsboro will win this game.

NOBODY gets started like Hillsboro -- they've got to average nearly 30 points in the first quarter this season. I can see this by quarter:

16-0
32-0
40-6
46-14

So is this your prediction for the "cumulative" score, or is this your "scoring-by-quarters" prediction?

I think it's going to be a very close game. Oakes can score just a quickly as any team and I don't see their defense giving up 46 points either.

Scoring by quarters -- I see no reason the Burros can't hang 134 on Oakes.

I would say best case scenerio for Oakes is they are down by 3 TDs going into the 4th quarter and they score a TD to get it down to about 14 points and it ends up only being a 14 point game. I think there is probably a better chance they are down 4 TDs at half and the game is pretty much over at that point.

IF Oakes is going to win I think they need to score first, even if its on some fluke play and try to keep the game low scoring. Hillsboro has only played one close game and they lost it.

Ill take Hillsboro in a tough game 42-30 due to their quickness and good size.

I believe this will be a quality football game between two very good senior dominated teams. The match up up front is similar and the styles of play are also very similar. Playoff experience for Hillsboro may be a factor in the game at some point but I wouldn't be surprised to see either team win and then probably win again the following week. Until someone from the East actually beats Napoleon though the title for the east will run through there. I look for close games the rest of the way in the playoffs for 9 man football and should be fun to watch for everyone involved.

I understand what you are saying, but as long as Hillsboro keeps winning the title goes through Hillsboro.

I really HOPE that the rolling eyes and ridiculous numbers are enough to inform everyone that I was being sarcastic to the goofball that asked the question? Good.

Again, this should be a fantastic game. I just can't see Oakes withstanding the explosive first quarter that the Burros continue to show off.

actually the title does go through napolean. the defending state champs are done. the 2nd place team is still going, so i would think they would have to be beaten.

good luck to the rest of the teams!

Yeah...sounds like you're predicting a barn burner of a game.

I know its easy to look back at scores but,

Oakes fights hard and edges Wyndmere by 1 or 2 points. Hillsboro Destroys Wyndmere 40-0 , all basically by halftime. Oakes is a *good* team, but no one will and no one can stop that option attack they have. Hillsboro has too many weapons and too many things to key on offensively. 46-0 Hillsboro is my prediciton. oakes played Napoleon tough, but even Napoleon is and possibly will be no match for the Burros

Going with your reasoning about past games, Oakes should have a good shot at beating Hillsboro. Oakes beat Northern Cass 34-0, and Hillsboro beat them 48-16. So technically with your reasoning Oakes should be 2 pts better than Hillsboro. Or you could say based on the Richland games Napolean beat them 26-0 and Hillsboro lost 28-27, so Napolean should hammer Hillsboro. You can make comparisons like that with every team, but they don't mean jack.
