Yowsa! Wyndmere-Lidgerwood over Richland 20-6. 6 turnovers for Richland. Saw a couple highlights on TV of W-L scores - they run some razzle-dazzle - reverses, passes off reverses, etc.

That's my team!!
An early season loss has refocussed Wyndmere and the running backs have a line that has improved game after game. The coaches called an awesome game and turnovers were the key. We heard alot of talk coming from Richland and I could not have picked a team I would rather kick than the Colts.
Now we must avoid the letdown that Richland just had.
An early season non region game loss may have been the best thing that happened.
I only wish Hillsboro had not lost to Richland and stuff the Burros off. Tonights Hillsboro/Northern Cass blowout obviously shows the rest of the region that Hillsboro is the team to beat. We just barely snuck by Northern Cass last Friday but now we are on the rise.
This will be a great week to get ready for a heck of a game against the Burros.
GO WYNDMERE!!!

In a 68 to 24 win over Strasberg Zeeland EK ran the ball 58 time for 707 yards. Feist 18 for 260 and Knudsen 17 for 206 yards S-Z threw the ball for 234 yards. S-Z is doing a benefit to plant new grass on the Strasberg field. In the paper the game looks close in the first half.

E-K's Knundsen and Feist were done in the 3rd quarter, but that is when Colton Rupp and old crazy legs Eddie Swiontek took over according to the bis trib.

Ellendale 44 Edgeley-Kulm 20

Arnold 269 yards rushing 2 tds, Feist hurt early. Very gutty effort by Ellendale. First win over E-K in a LONG time. Morrisey, another great game. Best QB in Region 1.

Michael White of Berthold, 16 carries for 258 yards and 6 tds, plus 1 reception for a td against a pretty good Divide County team.

Hillsboro just thoroughly dominated the game. First offensive play - touchdown. And it just rolled from there. W-L was missing 2 starters, but the would not have made a 40 point differnce.

The loss to Richland could be the best thing that could have happened to Hillsboro. It sure appears that way right now, anyway.

pretty bold statement there, I think Fettig throwing TD after TD looks pretty elite

Oakes 49 SC 6 in about a 1 and 1/2

With around 5 min left in the 2nd quarter the lights went out on the field and apparently they blew a transformer. the game was called and 49-6 will be the final score.

Oakes will go deep in the playoffs, the loss to Napolean will turn out to be a blessing.

Where'd you hear that he got 269? Watching the game, it didn't seem like he had THAT good a game. 160-180, maybe, but 270?

I rechecked, it was 225, so my source was off by 44 yards. Apologies.

Ellendale 38 Kidder County 20

Ok, so it seems to be the "in" thing to challenge Arnold's stats so all I will say for certain is that he had TD runs of 50+, 90+, 65, and 40+. This adds up to 245 at a minimum and he ran the ball more than just these four times. The doubters at some point will have to at least admit the kid is pretty legit. Not saying he is the best because Grothman is a beast as is Michael White, Jason Hagen and Evan Gross and I am sure there are many others, but this kid is not bad.

I heard Arnold ended with like 350-ish yards that game. It seems he should end as a 2000-yard rusher, I'm surprised I hardly ever see people give him any credit when talking about the ND running backs.
