M-R lost more to graduation than any other team in the state. I Know Central McClean has a good group back as usual, and the game will be in Mott this year. Historically though the visiting team has had the edge in the meetings between these teams. I can't make any call in this game. It's a toss up.
R-T vs M-R will be a doozy. The Raiders have one heck of an athlete returning in RB Jaden Messer. The Wildfire's D will be up to the challenge though with two the best linemen in the Region if not the state: Matt Dobitz, and Nick Kautzman. M-R will win if they can keep Messer in check, and if their Offense can come into their own and pick up where their state championship team left off. (which may take some time, they only have one returning starter, but the boys they do have are very capable). R-T was picked to win the region, and M-R was picked 2nd, with CMC picked 3rd. The first week of the season will dictate how the standings end up. Good luck to all teams starting the season, may you all be successful and safe.
