I'm in a toss up between Hillsboro and Napoleon and NB Vs. DP..... Both will be excellent games!

Dakota Prairie  vs North Border... Dakota Prairie wanted another shot at North border to avenge the early season loss.  They got it, I think they get North Border this time.

Napoleon vs Hillsboro.... Ahhh to be young again. My brain hurts just thinking about this game. Knock down vicious game. Hillsboro wants this one bad and Napoleon is not going to give it to them.

We have favorites in the other games on saturday, these two are toss ups, no suprize or upset no matter who wins these two games.

All 4 games are going to be great, and they've all got compelling story lines.

DP and NB - backyard regional rivalry.

Hillsboro and Napoleon - 3rd time in a row they meet in the playoffs.

Divide and Central McLean - another playoff rematch

Mott-Regent and  St. John - two undefeated teams and St. John with the cinderella tag - rising from the ashes of a winless season 2 years ago

I don't know how you pick a game of the week from this bunch.

I would pick either the Hilsboro/Napoleon game and the NB/DP game just because of how the teams match up against eachother

This is what I love about playoff football.  Look at the records of these 8 teams:

Dakota Prairie (10-1) at North Border (10-0)

Hillsboro (10-0) at Napoleon-GS (9-0)

Central McLean (8-1) at Divide County (9-0)

St. John (9-0) at Mott-Regent (9-0)

According to my math the combined records of these 8 teams are 74-2.   Are these the best 8 teams?? They may or may not be, but you can't argue with their records.  This weekend promises to be very interesting, as does the rest of the playoffs.

MR 46   CM 22     Go back about 4 pages and you will find  all the discussion on that first game of the year that everyone predicted correctly was the championship game in region 6.

I would probably have to agree with you on this one hinsa...it really is hard to pick a game of the week on this one, but im thinkin third chime's a charm for that Hillsboro and Napolean game.(it will be a great game to watch) I'm predicting that the Hillsboro team will take this one home with a win this year.  Napolean does have a really strong team, and home field advantage, but i can totally see Grothmann, and the whole team going out there strong, wanting the win, and getting what they went there for!!!! (just my thoughts)...

I think it is important to know that Central McLean /Mott game was the first game of the season for the newly formed CM and three of the starters didn't get enough practices in because of state Legion baseball  so they didn't play.  and ...Yes, they were big play makers like Nelson, Lang and Hultberg (they call him the Bull)

Lang played against Mott. Jake Hipp a lineman was hurt for the game and didnt play either.

What does it matter? Those are just excuses, THEY LOST BIGTIME!

That's right I got Lang and Hipp mixed up.  So when Williams county loses their quarterback it is a legitimate excuse but when CM doesn't even have a starting quarter back then it is an excuse?

Those players were not the reason CM lost.  They flat out got out played.

Were you at the game?  Have you seen them play since they have a quarterback?

Also   No one said they weren't out played.  That was obvious.  I am stating that Nordstra claims that when CM beat WC ( and WC had lost their quarterback) it was a legitimate reason that WC lost.

Now, when I state that CM didn't have their starting quarterback for that game vs Mott he says that is just an excuse.

Who knows how it would have played out?  Hope to see a rematch on the 3rd of November.  I guess Time will Tell.
