First Round predictions.

The teams in 9 Man

Postby Pfenix » Mon Oct 15, 2007 2:15 pm

Any predictions for tuesday's games? Here's mine for the ones out west.  I don't know much about the east teams.

Richardton/TH over TGU
Williams County over Wells county
Berthold over hettinger
MLS over NCB

Here's a stab at the east teams:

  • Wyndmere-Lidgerwood over Oakes
  • Dakota Prairie over Richland (best possibility of an upset)
  • Lakota over Sargent Central
  • FSHP over Thompson

Berthold over Hettinger is an interesting game.  Could go either way I think.  No way is MLS going to beat NCB.....their defense is just too strong.

I agree with all of these except I pick Wyndmere-Lidgerwood over Oakes.

i agree with these picks also....except 2.

wyndmere-lidgerwood should beat oakes. zach puetz (W-L) is a good qb with a very strong arm, good speed and quickness, and a knack for finding open receivers while on the run.

and richland will give dakota prarie a very tough game. richlands defense is one of the hardest hitting defenses i have seen all year and i think dakota prarie might have some trouble making the big plays they usually do. richlands offense has also come a long way and is loads better than earlier in the year. their qb erbes is a lot more comfortable in the pocket and their running game is one of the better in the state. it should be an exciting game.

Guess I didn't read close enough....I would pick WL over Oakes as well.

I just thought I'd throw an upset in there.  It is the playoffs.  Anything can happen.

Agree 100% with Wyndmere, they're a really tough team, and i'm really surprised Finley beat them so soundly (not knockin on Finley, I think they'll go farther than people think too...at least give Napolean a run for their money).

Richland....I dunno.  It should be a good game, but it's hard to argue against a 1-loss team.

I will be attending the FSHP vs. Thompson game tonight and my pick for the game is gonna be Thompson.  I attended my first 9-man game ever last Thursday when I saw Hillsboro beat Hankinson.  9-man is much more fun and interesting to watch than 11 man.
