Home Field Advantage ?

In 9-Man football this year, home teams are 88-69. (56.1%)

Week # 1   22-13 (4 games not counted, played on neutral site)

Week # 2   12-12

Week # 3   16-9

Week # 4 11-14

Week # 5 14-10

Week # 6 13-11

I don't think home field gives much, if any of an advantage. Just like any other stat, the "homefield advantage" this year means nothing.

Guy, - you got a lot of time on your hands. I think that its cool and all - I am a stat guy myself - but I would never think about trying to figure this out.

How come every week has 24-25 games but week 1 has 35??

In week one, there were many teams that played both Tuesday and Friday nights. Thus the 35 games.

I think there is some advantage with home field....when the distance between teams is a stretch and the opposing team has that long bus ride. Fan wise, home field cheering can help keep a team up also. On the road you usually only see the parents, where at home more of the community will come out for support.

I think it doesnt matter very much in the Regular Season but during the Playoffs it is a huge factor.

Yes i agree . . . home field is a huge advantage . . . no early morning wake up to go jump on the bus and sit for 2+ hours . . . plus you get the comfort zone of playing on your own field
