Region 3 is probably the toughest, with three legit title contenders in Central Valley, Dakota Prarie and Lakota.

Region 1 has Napoleon, Edgeley, Sargent Central, and Steel-Dawson

I wont say we have the Toughest Region (6) by any means. I will say that if you broke it down percentage wise, that a Champion could come from a particular Region, we would be near the Top.

I agree, there at least 6 teams that are fighting for the playoff spots, and honestly there is no clear favorite.  It's down to CM and M/R.  Who ever wins that first game wins the region.

I agee with Pfenix that the game between M/R and CM on the 21st will be a huge game that will have a big effect on the final outcome of this region. This region has always been very competative and there always seems to be an upset or two. I think the game on the 21 st will be a great football game, what a way to open the season!

Because of legion Central Mclean will be without 2 of there linebackers for the first game which could hurt them. I think they can still overcome that and win but it will make it tougher.

It has been covered in several different topics on here but region 2 is by far the deepest and toughest region in 9-man

Hillsboro

Hankinson

Wyndmere-Lidgerwood

Hope-Page-Finley-Sharon

Richland

One of those teams will not be in the playoffs but could win or be in the top 3 in other regions.

Is Northern Cass also in this region now? If so this could make for a heck of a region. Good Luck to all when we finally get to hear some hits!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, Northern Cass is in region 2 also, Since Allen Burgad became Super. of Northern Cass they have been working hard at building a fine program.

I don't know a thing about them this year though, and they lost mr. everything from last year in Eric Burgad.

Griggs County Central is also in that region this year.  They were a playoff team in 11 man last year also.  They lose some good athletes from Finley going to play at Hope but I think they return quite a few linemen.

I heard that Hope picked up 18 players from Finley Sharon that has got to be a tough pill to swallow for Cooperstown.

It's going to be very interesting to see how FS-HP does their first season together. I did hear they have a combined total- close to 40 kids out.

Hunterlaf, I'm from the Region 5 area and know all of the teams very well. No way Region 5 is the best region in the state. Yeah, they have 3 teams that are undefeated, but that's because the rest of the region not cool besides those three.

NO WAY St. John is legit. Yeah, they will probably make playoffs, but there is no way they will go very far in the playoffs.

Who are their playmakers?  I haven't heard any names thrown around.   I guess I don't know enough about them to make an opinion.  But they were able to beat NCB they must some potential.
