North Border will be one of the top 5, I guarantee it.

From the New Region 3, I think that Dakota Prairie, North Border, and Lakota all could be in the top 5.  Dakota Prairie has 7 out 9 starters returning, North Border is always tough, and Lakota has a lot returning including 2 all staters.

There are a ton of talented teams comming back

Region 1 as I have said before is going to be very tough maybe not a state champion out of there but very competitive. Hillsboro would by my pick. I think they will go deep into the playoffs again.

Region 3 also has some very talented teams in the top three or four. Lakota would be my pick with Dakota Prairie,  North Border, and Central Valley on their heals.

Napoleon has some great kids returning, as does Crosby, And Mott,

watch for FSHP's new football co-op . they will be returning a 3 year starting quarterback in Jon Thorson, and will also have 3 running backs that started all last year. I'm not saying they're going to jump right to the top, but they could surprise a few teams

Lucky for you coach, sapp won't be there next year to open holes the size of the grand canyon against your team and the rest of the teams from the region.  DC will be there again as always though

No love for the state runner up returning 5 full time starters and also combining with Underwood. I think Central Mclean will be there at the end as well.

all TLM had last year was Eddie Collum and with him gone they have some big holes to fill!

I can only think of two players coming back from TL-M that are going to make a difference:  QB Josh Thomas, and FB-LB Mitch Lang.  Other than those two the only thing Central McClean is going to have going for them is numbers.  But even then Thomas was a little interception prone last season.  I can't think of a player from either underwood or TL-M that has the game breaking ability that Cullum had.  But I see Central McClean making the playoffs, which is going to be extremely tough to do in region 6 next season.

Josh Thomas graduated, and i dont think lang has the energy to take 30 carries a game and then go on defense.

My mistake, I would've sworn he was Junior.  I don't see Lang having that many carries either.  In the championship game Napoleon wore him down, but it does help to have a guy like him blocking for you.

I do agree that losing eddie cullum is a huge loss offensively but turtle lake returns alot defensively and also have will have a good running back whoever is ends up being with lang blocking for them. Off the top of my head i can think of 6 returning defensive players plus 4 from underwood that started last year.

I think the combination of Underwood and Turtle Lake/Mercer is going to surprise alot of people. You are combining kids that are hungry for a winning season and a team that has had success. This could be a very good combination!! As far as Lang not having the stamina to carry the ball 30 times and playing defense. Well I think you might be surprised. He may not have the big break away speed but he was in front of Cullum all season blocking the way for him and taking his carries and playing defense. But I don't think Lang will be called upon to carry the ball that many times in a game. People might be surprised with some new kids that have joined the school (TL-M) after football was over. I hear there is a kid out there faster then Cullum and cuts alot better. If that is the case I can't wait for the season to start. Underwood and Turtle Lake/Mercer should blend together realy nice and be able to make some noise in one of the toughest regions in the state.

Turtle-Lake/Underwood will definitely be better than people expect.  Doesn't the Nelson kid come back too? He was pretty good. And I heard they got the running back from Fargo South that backed up Catlin Solum. Is there any truth to that?
