The real question is how the GCF and Shiloh game will go.

Similar to how the Shiloh vs RTH game went.

Agreed. They are fun to watch that's about it. Westhope was not ranked last year and look what they did.

Went to a football game Friday night. Was absolutely the worst thing I have witnessed. No calls for late hits, helmets to the groin, unsportsmanlike conduct was rampant on the part of one team. And all of this when the NDHSAA had been made aware of one player making direct threats to players on the opposing team.

But it really didn't surprise me. The kids are coached to be that way by the most arrogant coach I have ever met.

You must have been one of the people on the sideline cursing and yelling at a 17 year old high school kid. Really classy. If I'm not mistaken the team that had "direct threats" against them, had 7 unsportsmanlike penalties.

And if the ref's would have been calling penalties equally, the other team would have had a helluva lot more than that. You cant fix stupid!!!!

I guess you think its ok for a player to tell a kids grandparents that he intends to break their grandsons collar bone and take other players out for the season. Now THAT is a class act!!!

I think you both have said your peace. The officials job I to control the game and the coaches need to control their kids. It's sad that things like this happen in a high school football game. Ultimately the problem starts at home, and parents need to put these young men in line. If you are really that good, then you shouldn't have to play cheap or talk smack.

100% on the it's the officials job to control the game. They controlled the game (7 unsportsmanlike penalties on 1 team, 2 on the other). It's the fans job also to cheer, not to scream at high school kids.

If penalties are equal how would one team have more?

Flip, I said that "IF refs had been calling penalties equally." Meaning that it was a one-sided officiating. I guess my thinking is that game should be officiated fairly and equally. Not letting one team get by with obvious infractions and penalizing the other team only. IMHO

Yep cause a 56-28 win clearly shows that the officials are the only reason the home team won.

lets move on from this game as far as penalties and officiating goes. it was pretty much a playoff game for both teams. when that happens kids take their play to a other level and sometimes it results in very aggressive play, which sometimes gets to far out of hand, which is what it sounds like here. as for the fans, we would all like to see them act mature regardless of what is transpiring on the field, unfortunately we all know that just doesn't happen, exspecialy in sports. both teams have good seasons going and I look for them to finish them out well

I wasn't there so I don't know the score or where the game was played. But, Run 2009 and NDhighschoolsports show that the score was 30-28. And NDHSAA shows the game was at Flasher.
