9 man final

The teams in 9 Man

Postby hitem » Sun Nov 12, 2006 5:51 pm

I watched the tape of the game 3 times.  Turtle Lake was bigger on the line, bigger at linebacker and talented at DB.  Napoleon was smaller, but was quicker and stronger both on the line and backfield.  Eddie is fast, but not the power runner that Dewald was.  Also consider they were missing their best defensive player and a great fullback.  They also had to screw with their line by moving a guard to fullback. From what I saw it could od been 40 to 12.  Napoleon flat out outplayed a good Turtle Lake team.  They were just better, period.

Blind we must be, The ball did not always roll Napoleons way. Three fumbles, A TD called back on a penalty. Penalties were in the trojans favor for the most part of that game. TL-M had their chances and only capitalized on one of them. Napoleon took advantage of the TO's and turned them into points. You could credit Napoleons D-line with the int's, they had pressure on either of the Qb's that TL-M threw at them.  That goes to show that those big lineman aren't always the best thing. Hard for them to pick up quicker lineman regardless of how strong they were.  The Qb was being harrassed by two 150 pound players that were at a 50+ pound disadvantage.

Throwing out everything that has already been said about turnovers, penalties, officiating, media. The game was played and Napoleon won. That is the one True FACT about all of this. Hard to swallow for some, a time of celebration for others. Either way the game was played and we now move on.

The ball rolled in Napoleons favor more often than in TLM's. That is a FACT! and just an everyday part of football.

Exactly, so why is this discussion still going on? Napoleon won, get over it. Enough with the if's, and's, but's, could of's, should of's, might of's, and what if's, its OVER with.
