LaMoure-LM just lost to South Border (probably going to see South Border in the ranking or at least receive votes this week)

TGU beat #1 North Star in Cando during the '12 season to capture the Region 3 Title.

How does Cavalier rank up against the Region 1 teams? Region 1 just seems overall stronger than Region 2.

I would say pretty favorably, but you are probably right Region 1 does seem a little more balanced. Cavalier should have a stern test next week against Hatton-Northwood on the road and I am sure the coaching staff is not looking that far ahead. They did return the bulk of their team that defeated a strong WL and South Border in the playoffs last year. Time will tell. In 9man football, injuries to key players can have a devastating effect.

Region 1 is more balanced than Region 2. But Cavalier seems to be the better team from the East half of the state (by a long ways)

They started and remain being Ranked #1 in State with most of the votes each poll taking...........so I quess that tells the story how the stack up against the state in which Region 1 resides.....there is one qestion I would ask in referense to the "region 1 is overall stronger than region 2" statement and that is...... Even with the number one team in it?

"seem a little more balanced" opposes rashly what he really said .....which was "overall stronger"...You said it to Run...just saying, no big ordeal ..

Yes...because if you look at the other teams in Region 2 it really drops off. The only comparisons we get to see between the two are Hatton-Northwood over Richland (big) and Finley-Sharon-Hope @ Oak Grove (next week). Those are two of the bottom teams in Region 1 so it doesn't give a good representation.

Did H-N beat Richland with Griffith healthy? If so, they are legit.

I think the 2 regions comparison is irrelevant and off the topic........I would really like to know how the top 5 teams in the state compare

like who has the better overall package along with

best d line
best o line
backs
linebacks
wide outs etc etc

I have seen Cavalier play, and they have a decent defense and seem to be able to get to the end zone

No...Griffith was hurt in the first game of the season against Wyndmere-Lidgerwood (August 27th). Hatton-Northwood handled Richland 52-28 last week.
