Cavalier
NRS
TGU
NS

I was clearly wrong about Region 1 this year. Good depth but not the top end teams.

Cavalier- don't see this game being all that close 40-6
NRS- Lakota defense a bit too inconsistent 36-14
TGU- Haven't been stopped yet 36-12
DC- They get a few hits early on Hagler and he shuts down 30-22

Saturday, October 27th
R2 #2 - Cavalier (8-1) @ R1 #1 - Wyndmere-Lidgerwood (9-1)[/b
]R2 #3 - [b]Lakota-Adams-Edmore
(7-2) @ R2 #1 - New Rockford-Sheyenne (9-0)

R3 #3 - Surrey (7-2) @ R3 #1 - TGU (9-0)
R3 #2 - North Star (8-1) @ R4 #1 - Divide County (10-0)

W/L defense was there but it took a while for the offense to show up..and I think they will shut down cavalier's offense...w/l 28 - 16
Lakota if they can stop the passing game will win..

Surrey game TGU their closest game of the year. They were the only team in the region that could match their size. It's tough to pick a winner in this one but I'm expecting another really close game from them.

Cavalier @ W-L- i think that this will be a tough and good game. Cavalier lost to W-L last year in the same round. Cavalier has a a well balenced offence and a great defence, where W-L has a great defence too but on offence cant exactly rely on thier line. The strong point of cavalier has been thier defence. This will be a good game and good luck to both teams.
LAE @ NRS- NRS is a nice smash up the middle team, they have a great backfeild and can rely on their defensive line to get through the line. LAE is big and can make big plays when they need them, their defence though has not be concistent giving up many points. These two teams went into 2 overtimes during the regular season and it will be a battle from begining to end. I just think the NRS is going to make the bigger play and win. This will also be a good game and good luck to both teams.
Surrey @ TGU- TGU has been one of those underdog teams that have deserved a chance to make it, i dont know a lot about the west so i cant really make a great perdiction but i expect TGU to win. Good luck to both teams.
NS @ DC- this will be a good game. Once again i dont really know about the west but i hear that DC is a very good team. Also NS is a force to recon with. I cant wait to see how this one goes but im picking DC good luck to both teams.
Cant wait to see how this all works out! Good luck to every one!

R2 #2 - Cavalier (8-1) @ R1 #1 - Wyndmere-Lidgerwood (9-1)
R2 #3 - Lakota-Adams-Edmore (7-2) @ R2 #1 - New Rockford-Sheyenne (9-0)

R3 #3 - Surrey (7-2) @ R3 #1 - TGU (9-0)
R3 #2 - North Star (8-1) @ R4 #1 - Divide County (10-0)

Cavalier (-18) - IMO, the most balanced team remaining.
NRS (-6) - Home field gives them the edge.
TGU (-8) - Lines match up well. Luna (sophomore QB) is very good and the difference maker.
NS (-7) - Good team speed at all positions.

First I've got to give props to Region 2 - they won 3 of 4 from Region 1 which I didn't think they could do.
Now for this weekend:
I'll take Cavalier over Wyndmere by 16 pts.
New Rockford over Lakota by 14 pts.
TGU over Surrey by 8 pts.
North Star over Divide County by 4 pts.

With how bad Northstar got beat by TGU at home, I just don't see them going to Crosby and beating DC. But last week I didn't see LAE going to Napoleon and winning that game either.

Will Surrey's running back play?

Dye was injured in early 1st quarter of the game against central McLean, he only had 3 carries and then went down with a knee injury now believed to b an acl.

Dye is one of the best backs surrey has seen and only a junior but against TGU earlier this year Dye only played the first half and it was still an 8 pt game...wallstrum stepped up and took the load against Central McLean with almost 200 yards...with that line im not sure it matters whos carrying the ball the run game will be there...maybe some redemption on surreys mind?

i think the Dc and North star game will be close until Dc's line gets tired. same thing that happened last year. hagler and grande are just going to tear up dc's pass coverage. if st. john can move the ball on divide, north star wont have a problem. region 4 might be the worst region in the state.

Woooow. One person has WL winning and everyone else has them losing by 12plus. I don't think that this game is the blowout everyone predicts.

Cavalier might be 12 pts better than every team in the state.
