I know how polls work and I know Cavalier lost one but I would predict when the dust settles and the Season is over they're one of the last teams standing....

Bell was huge Loss for W-L ...obviously
NS is Dangerous...but still may have been deeper last year from what I hear...??
don't know DCounty
NR-S is Definitely Beatable ...although undefeated....2 OT games

Defense Wins Championships.....especially in 9-Man Football
in other words a good O is NOT your best D

Cav has a Good D

DC wins it all this year. Gonna take Cav to represent the east in the championship.

Pts allowed doesn't determine who has the best D. A lot of points could be given up by the 2nd team when up by 50, who knows. Plus, northstar hasn't played the 2nd best team in their region yet. I can see TGU putting up 30+ against them. Also have to factor in that Divide plays one more game than Northstar and Cavalier as well as the level of competition from top to bottom in each region.

We've had this discussion before! Whos to say the competition isn't as good in region 3 as region1,2 or 4? We don't know this until the playoffs! Outscoring oppents 290-40 through 6 is an outstanding accomplishment! And who knows how many quarters the "starters" have actually played? :D
IMO the DEFENDING STATE RUNNER-UP IS #1 until they get beat (if that happens)

Never said region 3 competition wasn't as good as the other regions. Just stated that that is a factor in looking at overall defense. I'm not saying north star isn't the best defense in the state either. Just stated a person can't make that judgement by just looking at total points allowed. The only thing I said against north star is that they haven't played the 2nd best team in their region yet which is a fact and that dc has/will play 1 more game than cav and north star....another fact

You must think it if you get so defensive when it isn't even mentioned.

Yes, I said that has to be considered but that can't be determined until interregion play happens in the playoffs if at all. That is something that is mostly speculation and can be argued either way. Still did not mean that I feel Region 3 is weaker than 2 or 4. And I am not putting Northstar's defense down either. I do think TGU will score 30 on them this weekend and that will make the pts allowed very similar to Divide and Cavalier. Who has the best D? I don't know and it will be tough to tell until they play each other or at the very least have some similar opponents.

If they playoffs "play out" according to the seeding North Star will have a very very tough semi final game/road trip

IMO North Star's defense was better last year. Their line has gotten so much smaller from last year. Hunt and Rieder are the returners, but I havent seen Rieder playing D that much. They have been moving Grande up to the line in certain packages.
Then again, Larson left a big spot to fill and most people looked small next to him anyway.
