Hillboro and Shiloh don't deserve any votes, but I'm surprised they didn't get any.

I predicted the top 4 and almost in the correct order too.

Hankinson and Richland might deserve some votes.

this would mean there would be 5 teams from region one recieving votes. i dont think region 1 is as great as some think.

I'm sorry but how much do you know about any other region besides region one? Maybe region one is down, we won't know til Playoffs, and it looks to me as if region one is the worst it's been for a few years

I would bet (and I know its an early poll) that if NS and W-L played tom night

NS would win by at least 3 td's ........ JMO......... :|

I think Vasquez could match up with haggler and Jeff Illies would dominate NS's line and NS would have trouble defending them. I would say cavalier would beat WL by 2 or 3 touchdowns

Region 1 might be way down from last season (I personally don't think so) and it's tough to say its the worst it's been in a few years when we're only in the 2nd year of this format.

Mr. Kiper, you have contradicting comments here..... Vasques would match-up and Illies would dominate but Cavalier would win by two tds?

I believe he is comparing 2 different teams to W-L. First Northstar then Cavalier. Personally, don't think any of these top teams are separated by 2 or 3 touchdowns. Believe the games would be closer then that.

Weren't there a lot of people last year saying how W-L and Napoleon would both get beat in the second round of the playoffs? And that Napoleon would get beat in the Title Game? Region 1 is the best region in the state until someone knocks them off.

There is no way that WL would lose by at least 3 td's. They have eight returning starters on defense and two of the top offensive players in the state. Their run game is much improved and they are more experienced.

As far as the Cavalier beating WL badly comment, WL returned 8 starters on the same defense that stepped up late and beat Cavalier late with turnovers and huge stops. They are also looking like a much improved run team. Cavalier couldnt stop Illies and Vasquez last year they can't do it this year. Illies and Vasquez both look improved from last season so i would take WL by 7 in this game. Cavalier is my number 2 team in the state though.

O how nice of you to put them at two <3. U were playIng in that game in the playoffs last year, don't you remember bell having nine touchdowns? He's gone now. Cavalier returns just as much as WL if not more. Sound credible

I'm aware of what Cavalier returns and they return one of the 2 best quarterbacks in the state. I just don't see who they are gonna put on Vasquez and Illies to shut them down. This would be a great game and i'm hoping its the state semi-final match up.

i dont think WL is as unstoppable as you think they are. thats showing ethnocentrism.

Hankinson & Shiloh or NR-S will likely receive votes now...with Mott-Regent (coming out for only 1-2 weeks) and L-A-E being removed

I don't think they are unbeatable at all. I never claimed that, im simply saying that they wouldn't get blown out. Cavalier, North Star, NGS, and South Border can all beat them. None of those teams winning would surprise me at all. WL's weakness this year and last was their pass defense. Any team who can slow down Illies and Vasquez and has a good qb can definetly have a shot at winning. Cavalier would be my favorite to beat them if i had to pick one simply because of the mobile QB. NGS's QB last year killed them last year twice and Crest has as much mobility as he does. So i'm not saying they are unbeatable i'm saying they aren't a 2 or 3 touchdown underdog like was implied
