pre-season predictions and discussion

1. North Star - overwhelming favorite to take region.

2. TGU - had a young team last year made playoffs, eli luna will be good
3. St. John - struggled last year cause some important kids got minors, younger kids stepped in and got good experience should make a run at the playoffs
4. Drake-Anamoose - last years sophomore class was pretty good with McClintock

5. Surrey - return alot, should make a run at playoffs
6. Four Winds - return a very hard nosed runningback in Richotte, dark horse team to make run at playoffs

7. Benson County - lose alot, but they felt how it feels to win again. probly should be in the upper bracket
8. MLS - lost alot, I wonder if the other teams will take them to the woodshed like they did to alot of teams last year
9. Kenamre - one year away from contending.

10. Dunseith - last year was the worst dunseith team i've ever seen. they need to turn it around.

I don't think Dunseith is having a Varsity program next year

Dunseith should have to play all games on the road next year anyway for forfeiting games last year.

Dunseith is not playing a varsity schedule this year

I wouldnt be surprised if Kenmare shows some light this year. They will be young but Seime has been making them hit the weight room pretty hard. Look for them to give some teams a run for their money.

Any truth to the rumor that Benson County is losing Mitch Strand as head football coach? Working with a new coach might set them back next season.

Yes Strand has a new job in Beulah, will be tough with a new coach, but they still have some talent
