Webcasts of playoffs not allowed by NDHSAA

We have been notified by NDHSAA that webcasts of playoff games are prohibited unless NDHSAA is paid $1,500 per game. So, the North Star - Central McLean webcast is cancelled unless we can work out a different arrangement by tomorrow.

Any team that did a webcast of round one is being charged the fee. There were several webcasts done last week, North Star was one of them.

Who does a person direct an email and/or letter regarding this ridiculous rule? I highly doubt the webcasts are hurting the take at the gate in any way. The fee is also highly prohibitive.

The North Star v Central McLean will be done as an AUDIO only webcast tomorrow at 2 pm. We will be using school personnel or locals as announcers.

Every state I have been in has similar rules (Indiana, Louisiana, South Carolina and North Dakota).
