I am from a AAA city (Minot), but I have always wondered this, what 2 positions are missing from a 9-man lineup. Or you could list the positions that there are.

The tackles on offense. In 11 man you have to have 7 men on the line of scrimmage in 9 man you have to have 5.

On defense it's probably a combination of the safey, cornerback, or linebacker.

Could also be a lineman. I've seen a couple teams this year run a 3-4 with 2 defensive backs.
