where I'm sure he'll replace Grothman as the starting FB.

... were u serious with this? i'm 99.999% sure there is no way that will happen

i doubt Coach Vigen or Coach Bohl will give him the start over Grothman. You have to remember that the level of competition in college is much higher and you got a lot bigger boys in college. I think his best option is to red shirt a year and get the strength and experience to compete at the Division I level.

Umm.....read the whole string. It's been clearly stated before that Flip had his tongue planted firmly in cheek when he made the comment.

No one is replacing Grothmann at fullback, unless they move him to tailback, but it looks like that spot is reserved for speedy guys now. No more Tyler Roehls moving from fullback to tailback.

I always thought Grothman should have been a RB in college.

Granted, Roehls was very good, I'll take DJ McNorton over him. His speed is ridiculous.

Braun from NS is on a roll lately! He is a speedy back but can deliver a punishing blow as well. He seems to be get better as the game goes on.

Different types of backs. McNorton is more of an edge speed guy. Roehls could go into the pile and grind out yards when he had to. Each was/is very, very good; each had slightly different skill sets.

Sorry, I'm getting off topic.

The top running back in the State hates being on a second fiddle team.....they want to win it all!!! not have the most yds.
If you can’t excel with talent, triumph with effort.

Better question is what team has the best run game.

Got some DC stats for those that care.

Isaac Jacobs 134 carries 1078 yards 16 TD's 8.0 YPC
Andreas Holm 56 carries 888 yards 13 TD's 15.8 YPC
Ladd Simonson 62 carries 561 yards 4 TD's 9.0 YPC
Lance Kundson 68 carries 383 yards 4 TD's 5.6 YPC
Taylor Wiggington 51 carries 261 yards 2 TD 5.1 YPC

Holm has also done a lot in the passing game.

Andreas Holm 19 catches 506 yards 8 TD's 26.6 YPC

Thanks for the numbers. I was thinking DC must have 5 quality backs. With their monster line, any one of them could have a 2000 yard season if they were getting 75 % of the carries.
High school sports should be more about the team and less about a player.
