Who are the top qb's in the state?
I noticed that the top receivers had some nice stats so I figure that those qb's had some decent stats as well....

Hagler/Grande had another big night, although not against top competition. First pass of the game was perfect. Video here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=luLCSrAJiqY

As of now, this does not include Sept 30 game against Kenmare, where Hagler had 4 TD passes.

So according to ndhsaa:
Schwartzenberger--Napoleon 80-117 1115 yds, 19 td, 4 int

And the tops from maxpreps:
Schweitzer--mott-regent 94-137 1312 yds, 17 td, 1 int
Hagler--north star 50-75 811 yds, 14 td, 1 int
Young--benson county 36-64 807 yds, 13 td, 2 int

Now I don't know if these stats are completely up to date but this is what i've found so far. Didn't find anything on Bell...

Hagler was 8-8 for just over 200 and 4tds against Kenmare....

The 4 qb's listed about combined record this season is like 26-2...These kids are accurate and not turning over the ball

I think you have to factor in the fact that Region 1 is a much deeper region defensively than Region 3. Napoleon, Wyndmere-Lidgerwood, Lamoure, South Border, Edgeley Kulm and Sargent Central are all pretty good defenses, I dont think Region 3 goes 6 deep. So you ave to account for that when looking at some of these numbers and comparing kids. I watched the Kenmare vs NS highlight on you tube and it was shooting fish in a barrel. I'm thinking Swartzenberger and Bell light them up as well.

I agree 100%. It is hard to say whose the "best" when there is such a difference in the talent levels of the regions. Kind of like comparing athletes of today with athletes of 25 years ago, competition is different so stats, etc... will be different. It also makes a difference if you are a team that passes a lot or a team that passes very little.

First, anytime someone throws out the "best" label in anything, it is nearly impossible to prove unless there are substantial head to head match ups to use for comparison. Even then it is difficult to say one player is better then the next. This is more prevalent this year due to "zero" non-regional games to use for comparison.
Second, using the analogy of today's players and players from 25 years ago to compare Region to Region this year is a bit far fetched. Players across the state are competing at the same level in numerous sports. They all attend similar camps and programs to hone their skills. Along with the fact that Regions are getting so spread out that advantages we use to see in one region due to certain activities (will throw out bull riding, ranching, etc. which I believe toughens kids up) are now seen across many of the regions.

When a region does have some down teams in a year, some of the more talented teams and their players get the short end of the stick. Most programs will get their kids 2 maybe 3 quarters of play and they generally are not working on getting stats for the players, but working on team aspects. So a lot of players lose quarters and stats. I would dare to bet that any kid would prefer to play 4 hard quarters in a close game then to sit on the sideline in a blowout. 2 cents.

Regretfully, I am not sure this is true anymore for all kids, some seem more interested in getting highlight clips on youtube than good competition.

Also Feel real fortunate if your playing in a High Caliber Program with Players who love the sport and all that is attached to it......I dont know if its a Number Problem but I'm sure Glad the argument is not out there for a 2 class 9-man Class
