I think it'll be kind of hard not to have the returning Class AA champion Watford City Wolves at the top of the poll. I imagine Velva, Harvey will also be around the top. Not too sure about out East, but I'm sure there are some tough ones out there as well.

Why they aren't in the top 5? They lose to all-staters that are going to be impossible to replace. Plus, they are not going to just move down to Class A and dominate. There are some returning teams like Harvey, Velva and Linton who are just as good if not better than Hazen. They have some skilled players coming back, but who is going to block for them??? When they meet up with some of the elite teams, they will fold just like they have the last 5 seasons in AA.

I actually forgot about Hazen. In the past, preseason polls are mostly filled with the usual suspects, so my best guess says Hazen will be ranked to start the season around 4-5. I will put them 5 in my poll above, but I still think North Sargent will se solid.

really kaybee? ya they lose some studs that will not be replaceable but they do return both of their best offensive threats which oo ya by the way were all staters last season. And whos gonna block for them? uh ya the 4 returning starters on the line. Ya the D loses some key linebackers but the line and the secondary will be experienced. So ya thats why they're in the top 5.

The same line that got destroyed in the semi-finals by Valley City?? The line that is undersized and got pushed around badly by VC? Like I said, when they meet up with the elite teams in Class A, they will fold just like they've done in the past

considering valley city's team last year will be better than any team that Hazen plays this year they'll be just fine. Ya not being able to make the finals isnt good but ya making the semi's usually isnt a bad year either.

Hazen should be good in the regular season. IMO i think that sorenson won't be able to carry the offense all through the playoffs but they should be pretty good. Watford will be good, they have lots of young talent. WC should take region 4 with hazen in 2nd

ya region 4 should be a good battle and WC is gonna be tough and could take it but Sorensen doesnt have to carry it all by himself. Carr is a stud and the 2 together make a crazy good backfield.

Considering Valley is better than any team Hazen will play this year? That is the typical Hazen attitude, "better than everyone else" Well when you run into Velva, Linton etc.... let me know just how much better Valley City was

An opinion is fine when it is backed up by facts. the fact is that Harvey,Velva,LInton and other teams will not be push overs. The opinion that Hazen should be ranked top 5 just because they are Hazen is also not backed up by fact, but rather by arrogance. Face it, they fold in the big game. For the last 4 years they've shown they can't handle the big game. So when they have to play an extra playoff game this year and meet a team like Velva or Harvey, they will see just what A football is all about. That is a fact. From what I've seen, their coaches do not seem to get them ready to play in the big one. That is just an opinion also.

Kaybee, Not trying to flame you, but we are talking about preseason polls, not where they will be at the end of the season. If you have seen the Pigskin Preview, Hazen is picked to win Region 4 by the Coaches and 2nd by the Pigskin poll. I am originally from Lisbon, so nobody is a bigger Class A fan than me, but Hazen will most likely start the season ranked or getting votes. You bring up valid points about where they will end up, but we are only talking about where they will start.

I'd say u got 1-3 pretty good...and Milnor/NS will most likely be in the mix. But Linton...not so much. I feel that they lost to many core players to be a team competing at that level. They might not even be Top 3 in there Region.

Who will be better than Linton this year? They are my favorite to win region 1.

Well i guess we'll c who's overrated on Sat in Minot. Ya its only a scrimmage but itll be a good indicator on how teams are starting off and Velva and Harvey both scrimmage Hazen.
