It looks like Milnor/North Sargent, Oakes, and Griggs County/BCN are the teams that are off to a good start. I was surprised to see Linton lose. It seems like a wide open region at this point.

Linton lost to a team from SD...doesn't matter that much...they'll get back on track this weekend!

I was a ref for wrestling for just a couple of years, and all I can remember is that it was alot easier from the stands when I used to ref there prior to stepping out on the mat to do it. On top of that to make a judgement call on how bad the officiating was from your observation point in front of your radio probably listening to a LaMoure radio station and the usually biased announcers it is hard to really ascertain what actually happened and exactly how much was embelished by the announcers. I agree with ndlionsfan that you need to take a step back and give the ref some room to do their job. Unfortunately in tight games the losing team will often turn to reffing as the reason why their team lost.

LLM was beaten by the better Lisbon team. The fumble call was a tough one, but part of the game. Lisbon stepped up and took advantage of it. The LLM drive in the 3rd-4th was real nice and not helped out by many penalties. Earlier penalties hurt lisbon. LLM outplayed Lisbon for 3 1/3 quarters. They play 4.
LLM is moving on to region games. They could win some. We will see. It's a good staff and the will do their best to build things up.
Radio announcers are doing the games for LLM. They make no bones about it. One of them is a dad and he is up front about it.
It will be an interesting year in region 1.

I honestly think milnor-north sargent will take this region. The team that could catch them for some reason is lintion cause they are always there.

From what I saw it was a bit of both. The Loboes played their best game of the year in my opinion and MNS did not play close to the level that they should've/could've played.

From what i was told, MNS just could not get their Offence rolling in the first Half. and their defence just didnt show up. I dont know if they just maybe overlooked Lamoure and then got steped on or what.

Loboes are probably at least competitive. One play away from 4-1 in Region. Credit to EMV for a big play end of game and 2 in overtime to beat Loboes.
MNS is tough. Bad game? Not sure. I know they are one play away from beating Oakes for that matter. Loboes have played a little better each week generally. MNS could certainly beat them if they meet in playoffs. Loboes kept a little pressure on Honsana. He is best passer in Region. He still completed 14 passes. Loboes had 2 big picks late.
Loboes have Northern Cass this week. Can't afford slip up. Could be a fun match up with Loboes-Tornadoes last week of regular season.
