They are playing independently and can schedule how they want that way

They played Sargent County Varsity program for awhile ( very good team) Oakes ( Very good team almost beat CC) EEK( is a much better team and will put up 40 points) NC has some big kids and will win big... So I just don't get it. They only want to play a few teams that they think that they can compete?

Call the school ask them for yourself...they will be the ones that could answer your repeated questions for understanding

NDHSAA has them with 22 athletes and 8 that are upperclassmen (and a few of those are new to football).
They were originally slated to be in the region but then backed out after the schedules were made...a few of the bigger schools look like they agreed to play JV teams while trying to fill those voids in the schedule. My guess is they are trying to build their program back up with their underclassmen and a new coaching staff. 22 athletes is pretty small for an 11-man program...a few injuries and they are hurting so I guess I can understand the decision to be independent now.

22 kids is not enough to run a program and I completely agree with that statement. It is barely enough to run a 9 man program. Hopefully the new coaches can start a program to get kids in the weight room and the desire to play football. Maybe they should have went with a 6 man team or most a 9 man program. Why even try to run an 11 program. Just asking questions. By the way nobody wants to beat a team that can not compete. Same thing happened to Stanley years ago. They have the top football program in the state... They lost the head coach and the program died and nobody wanted to play and get beat up on....

If Oak Grove will never be a 9-man program (by enrollment) why play as a 9-man team now?

6-man is pointless in the eastern half of the state...only 6-man team is Drayton...rest are out west and in the NW part of the state

They have lots of youth (best player is a freshman)...decent JH numbers...give it two years and they could be back in regular football.

It is a big hit for Kindred. Swenson might be the most valuable player on the team... But he broke his lower leg above the ankle and dislocated his ankle.

That's awful, but you had to figure with the precautions they were taking his season was over.
