Quarterfinals should be extremely entertaining this coming weekend!
Central Cass @ Hillsboro/CV
Rematch from week 1 when CC stunned HCV 31-12. HCV has played a stacked schedule all year and has not had a hiccup since that week 1 loss with wins over Langdon, HCV, Lisbon, and Kindred, the only team to beat CC this season. I think that this game could be the best of the week in this division, especially if the weather holds out and CC can attack through the air. I'm going to predict a win by the home team who seems to really have things figured out. HCV wins 28-22.
Velva @ Bishop Ryan
Throw out all the records and previous results when these rivals play against each other. It should be a battle! Bishop Ryan has won 9 straight since their week 1 loss to Trinity. Velva got a big round 1 win 12-0 over Beulah after dropping two straight to finish the regular season. I think Bishop Ryan wins a home game in about the same fashion as they won their regular season match-up. 22-14 Lions
Langdon/Edmore/Munich @ Kindred
This game should be worth the price of admission. LEM is in a little bit of unfamiliar territory, having to go on the road for a playoff game. I'm sure Kindred will be packed, but I am also very positive that LEM will travel well and have plenty of fans On hand as well. I'm going to go with the experience of LEM in these big-game situations to get the job done. LEM wins 26-20.
Des Lacs/Burlington @ Bowman County
This might be the toughest game for me to pick this week, I have not seen either team play. I was shocked and impressed with Bowman's big win over Beulah a couple weeks ago, but then when Velva beat them as well it made me scratch my head a little. This is the longest road trip that a team will have to make this weekend at 240 miles for DLB. I think that plays a factor. I'll take Bowman County to win 32-14.
