Some matchups that I think are most interesting this week:

Velva @ Harvey-Wells County - Velva should be one of the top teams in the state and Harvey is coming off a huge win over Shiloh. This game is Harvey's chance to prove if they are the real competitors early this year.

Park River @ Thompson - Thompson lost a lot from last year but brings back a couple studs and Park River is still very young. Both teams are receiving votes but I have some reservations about either one finishing that high this year. New head coach in Thompson so interested to see what changes and what stays the same (came from Park River so that piece is there too). Good measuring stick game.

Grafton @ HCV - Grafton would have been my pre-season #2 team in Region 2. Will be interesting to see how HCV retools and if Grafton can give them a game. HCV's chance to show if they are retooling or rebuilding.

Lisbon @ Central Cass - Lisbon should be a top team in single A if they build on what they did last year. Playing a AA team could be a great confidence builder to propel them towards early season momentum. Central Cass is an interesting AA team this year.
