When does EEK play Hillsboro? Poll looks pretty good to me. Until EEK loses they will be #1 IMO

It's obvious that the western schools are vastly overrated.

Beulah against any of those East teams is a toss-up. I think they'll come out of the West, and they're as talented as any team out East. It's a down year for the West; I won't debate that. But Ryan and Velva have formidable squads with lots of playoff experience, and we all know anything can happen in late October. And it's a welcome change to see a recent East emergence after the West's dominance for the first 15 years of A football.

Well said. As you stated anything can happen come October. It seems to me that every region has 2-3 dominant teams as well as 2-3 teams that struggle. Things should settle out once the top teams in each region start to play each other. Some folks might view the addition of the new A teams as a negative, personally , I believe that better teams equate to better football. Things should be very interesting come playoff time .

I like that it went back to 32 teams. No bye for the #1 seeds. Only thing I would change is mix west and east in the playoffs. I'd like to see it mixed up 3's and 4s travel, top seeds stay home. No more west VS East Dakota bowl, Just the best two teams??? PRFL has to travel to Carrington, Westhope, Rugby Central Dakota Harvey!!! Closest game is Langdon. We are already traveling across the state so It shouldn't be that big a deal to cross match East and West? Switch regions every year also. :D :D

This all reminds me of a town called Velva. Before every championship that they played in the so called best teams where from the east. They where supposed to get blown out by Cavalier. The idea of crisscrossing has been talked about since 1997. Not going to happen at the class A level, $$$$.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that Langdon will win state this year. After HCV blew out EEK, and I've seen HCV, I think Langdon will beat them. If there is a weather event that could hinder the Langdon passing attack HCV could have a chance. What happened to Beulah? Thought they would be the team in the west to go to the Bowl.

I agree. Just the little bits I have seen of Langdon, I would pick them if I had to pick one team today (I was impressed with their passing game last year).
HCV D ends (& basically their whole line) are big and tough. It would be interesting to see them against Langdon.

It's my understanding they will be seeding the top 4. So this could happen at the bowl (right?).

I was going to laugh at you and call you dumb for saying this, but then I looked at Run's state playoff thread and you are correct or at least partly. First I've heard of this I'm not quite sure how the lower seeds will be bracketed.

I said a couple weeks ago I thought Langdon and HCV were the 2 best teams in the east. I'm not sure who would win, but if you can pass in HS football you have a chance. Pass defense is incredibly difficult.

Thanks, I think? :D

It does make the most sense to seed them IMO. You have to beat everyone anyway, but it gives the two best teams a chance to get there.

As far as the EEK/HCV game, I hope they meet again. I watched it on the cube and it kept freezing on me, but I thought one of their better starters was out for most of the game. I could be wrong. It was 14-28 at half (I think?). Nothing taken away from HCV. Their line is dominant.

Looking forward to Langdon and HCV hopefully meeting.
