2015 State Bracket

The teams in Class A

Re: 2015 State Bracket

My votes look like:

Larimore over Oakes.
H-WC over Northern Cass.
Velva/Sawyer over Hazen.
WNG over Southern McLean.

I just don't think Hazen has enough left in the tank to pull out another win out without their stars. A real bummer for the athletes that remained disciplined throughout the year. I also believe H-WC matches up well with Northern Cass. Could make out to be an incredible ballgame.

Nope. During the three hours allotted for the Class A championship game, rather than play the game they'll just do a season highlight reel, team interviews and induct them into the ND Football Hall of Fame. ;))
Ha Ha! Good one. ? still remains.
Exactly! I wouldn't rule anyone out either. I have not seen ONE west team play. Just a question on the west not a FU west ? Rattler don't get your panties in a bunch.

Well didn't everyone think last year the west semifinal was the title game? I just don't believe in ruling anyone out.

Man, I can't imagine how much work goes into designing things like this. Just a quick note: Killdeer has two L's

I know that Killdeer lost their first game to Trinity. Who else did they lose to ?

I think he is saying they have two L's in their name. On the link to the jersey/helmet designs they have Kildeer.

Well didn't everyone think last year the west semifinal was the title game? I just don't believe in ruling anyone out.

Based on overall talent, no team in the west should be able to hang with PR-F-L or Carrington. But the top 4 teams in the west all present different matchup challenges that could make for an interesting game. Killdeer has an impressive power running game, but lacks team speed. WNG has good size and athleticism, but have a weak pass defense. Velva has a nice balanced attack but is prone to making big mistakes (penalties & turnovers). Ryan still baffles me; a power running team that features a 145 pound running back??? Most likely the east champ wins by 3TDs, but I'm still looking forward to watching the game and won't crown a champ until the buzzer sounds.

And winners&losers, it's hard for me to get my panties in a bunch because "I rarely wear underwear and when I do it's usually something unusual."

Picking two upsets in the West, I believe both Velva and WNG will be well prepared to pull off the upsets. The West is pretty balanced so play the games and lets find out who plays next week. If it so happens to fall this way PR will travel to Carrington and Velva would travel to WNG.

I think the Larimore vs Carrington game is going to be close game and I am picking Larimore by squeaker. They are team that is coming together and their big and physical it will depend on how physical Carrington is and if they have enough team speed to beat Larimore.

Definitely Carrington and PRFL. West is interesting. Probably Killdeer with home field by a TD. They might feel a little pressure since they look to get back for another straight year, but I think they will do it. Still surprised they lost to Trinity to start the year when it even looked like Trinity had some kids out to injuries. Thouht their RB wasnt dressed. Bishop Ryan and Velva ought to be interesting. Teams seem to have gone in different directions since they played week 4. Following that game, it took BR overtime to barely beat Berthold but then they turned it around and beat DL-B, upset WNG and took down Bottineau to come back and win that region. Velva took a surprising loss to DL-B to close out their regular schedule. It's a different Ryan team since they last played Velva. Should be a barnburner if Bishop Ryan shows up to play like they did vs WNG. Intensity will be a key. I'll say Bishop Ryan gets revenge Saturday when it really matters, in part to home field, and takes it by barely hanging onto an early lead.

I'll say this about Larimore--it's known that they're big but they're also faster than people expect. I've heard that Carrington has a good line so I'm sure the trenches will be a dogfight.

I like these picks^^^^... Don't count W/N/G out either. They have a chance if their balanced offensively and disciplined on defense. They gotta wrap up.(no, one arm half grab tackling, they wont go down easy ha)

G5: R2 #2 (#4) Larimore (8-1) @ R1 #1 (#2) Carrington (8-0) Larimore by 2(upset of the weekend)
G6: R1 #2 (RV) Northern Cass (8-1) @ R2 #1 (#1) Park River-FL (8-0) Park River big
G7: R3 #3 Velva/Sawyer (7-2) @ R3 #1 (RV) Bishop Ryan (6-2) If Velva does not have their Tailback, Ryan wins. Otherwise Velva
G8: R3 #2 Westhope-Newburg-Glenburn (7-2) @ R4 #1 (#3) Killdeer (7-1) Killdeer but I think WNG could win. They will matchup with very nicely.

I think Carrington wins but I bet their first team has their first punt of the year. Park River. Velva (hopefully healthy) and Killdeer.

G6: R1 #2 (RV) Northern Cass (8-1) @ R2 #1 (#1) Park River-FL (8-0)

G8: R3 #2 Westhope-Newburg-Glenburn (7-2) @ R4 #1 (#3) Killdeer (7-1)

Carrington over Larimore, from what I hear, they just have too much speed. This could turn out to be one of the better games to watch this round.

Park River-FL over Northern Cass. I just don't think Northern Cass has enough weapons to compete with Park River. I'm thinking it will be around a 25 point spread.

Velva/Sawyer over Bishop Ryan. V/S has one of the most decorated coaches in North Dakota High School Football history, and I will take experience over a young gun this game. Ryan will be more than prepared to give them a fight, so I do believe Ryan will make this a closer game than the previous matchup (36-6 Velva).

Westhope-Newburg-Glenburn over Killdeer. This in my mind is the game of the week. WNG matches up really well with Killdeer, but they will have to be able to pass the ball to win. Killdeer has big bodies on the line, and are fairly athletic for their size. Should be a fun one, wish I could get out to Killdeer for this one.
