I see this:
1. Kildeer- A lot coming back and speed
2. Hazen- Some skill players back and Carr will be a horse
3. Heart River- Lost 2 senior linemen, think that's the only players they lost
4. Southern McLean- started 9 sophomores on defense and 8 on offense...I think? Should be a year stronger and experienced
5. New Salem- lost some really good players should still be competitive, tough to replace Cofer
6. Garrison Max- Lost most playmakers, don't think they will be as effective with the throw it up and outrun everybody to the ball offense
7. Central McLean- still too young, give them another year or so
8. Standing Rock- they have a lot of work to do just to be competitive, they are big though

1.Killdeer
Hazen
Heartriver
Southern Mclean
New Salem-Almont
Central Mclean
Garrison-Max
Standing Rock

Killdeer should come out on top at the end here. Hazen lost the outside speed game and senior leadership but should go a few games into playoffs by mixing up the offense. Ground pound running game with bigger backs may suit them better this year and open up the pass game more. Heartriver should edge out the three spot. Southern McClean has some athletic kids but still young. New Salem can be scrappy.

Hazen and Killdeer will battle it out for this region.

I take Hazen 20-14.

Hazen returns 4/5 starters on the best O-line in A football last year. return starting QB Connor Doll who is a horse of a runner. and have weapons in Carr and Steffan. Hazen's D is strong every year who return their entire front 3 plus two of the four linebackers, Doll will also anchor down one of the corner positions. tough to score on a very well coached defense.

True the defense will keep Hazen in games down the road. I believe it kept them in that coal bowl game. Carr and Kreil are "horses" on the team. Prolly should use them to ground and pound if anything. possible power running game. That offense doesn't change much tho.??

No questions here, Killdeer and Hazen will play for the Region title. I think Killdeer will come out on top though. It's hard to replace Cieslak, Leintz, and Bornamenn.
Killdeer 28
Hazen 24

Ya it did work for some time. Leintz and Bornemann are huge losses in the backfield, this year with those same plays now tho, they will need a more balanced offense this year with the personal now. Use their bigger backs to pound it, wearing some teams down. Pass more. That 3peat wont come as easy though. They gotta play tough at the end of the season when it counts. The defense should keep them going.
