Hazen just has too much for DLB to handle

If you've made it this far your on a roll. Nobody back into the semi's. I hope your wrong. I like both home teams to hold serve and reach the state title game. Sometimes I think if the home team came withstand the initial thrust it becomes easier for them to overcome and withstand the pressure. That's why they play the game. Best of luck to all teams still playing ball this is what its all about. Love football season.

Factor of the Linton game could be that they never have played in Milnor before.

They are from the same region, that would mean that they played wouldn't it?

Yes but due to travel all MNS home games against Linton have been held in Gwinner for at least the last few years. Not that it should make any difference. Good teams don't let unfamiliarity become an issues. Travel might be but not a new field. They are all the same size and have two end zones. LOL.

I believe it'll be Linton HMB over MNS. Because of the fact that Linton is always a powerhouse in the playoffs thats when they come alive, always have. And Hazen over DLB. Because 1. The two headed dragon in the backfield. And 2. Their defense is very tough as well. Should be a good game.

I don't think Hazen loses! Having ties to Linton, would love to see them in it as well.

MNS is playing their best football since they went to state last time. I say they win by 14. Hazen wins by 12

MNS made it to the quarters last year.
I believe he was referring to the year the made the Dakota Bowl and lost to Velva(2010).

I don't think most people consider that a football team is playing in "state" until the championship game.

The playoffs are called State...so it can be confusing.

I still don't think most people call the playoffs "state". Just looking at the discussion board, people are not saying state quarterfinals. In basketball there is a state tournament. It is played in one location. In football there are playoffs that can get you to state.

It's all semantics. We all know what we are referring too. I consider the Dakota bowl the state championship. And all others qualifiers. Otherwise you would have to consider Basketball and Volleyball regionals as part of the "state" tournament. Getting in the playoffs is great but the big game is what we all strive for.

well from what I have always read into it its once u reach the quarterfinals of the playoffs u are considered at state. that leaves the top 8 teams left and all schools get a banner to hang in there respective schools. so congrats to all the state playoff teams on a fine season. and good luck to the remaining 4 teams this weekend.!!!!

The fact is, Hazen is to fast and to strong to be stopped. Hazen has to many weapons and is very explosive on offense. Hazen's starting defense has only given up 4 TDs in 10 games! DLB is big and physical. However, speed kills! Hazen over DLB. Hazen over Linton for the state title.

What factor will weather play in this weekends games? Going to be 30s/40s in Des Lacs on Saturday. Probably no snow, but chance of rain Friday/Saturday...wet/slick field conditions favor one team over the other?
