R2 #3 - Westhope-Newburg-Glenburn (7-4) @ R2 #2 - Langdon-Munich (10-1) 24-18

Picking an upset here but I just think the Sioux can pull this off if they play errorless football. The first game was close and this one should be also. Good luck to both teams

R3 #1 - Stanley-Powers Lake (10-0) @ R4 #1 - Hazen (7-2) 34-21

SPL has not be given the credit they earned this year. Here are the undefeated defending state champions and with one exception against Velva (always a close game between these two teams) have went to continuous clock in the second half against all other foes including the two playoff games. Killdeer was suppose to have a good defense that would stop the Bluejays and they put up 34 points and over 400 yards. I am not taking anything away from Killdeer they probably were the best defensive team the Bluejays have faced but the Bluejay offense is just that good - almost impossible to hold down for very long.

R2 #3 - Westhope-Newburg-Glenburn (7-4) @ R2 #2 - Langdon-Munich (10-1) 32-20

This game could get close again if their is turnovers by langdon, or costly penalties that set Langdon back like against Park River in the first half. But after seeing what happen the first time with these two teams played, where langdon ran all over them with like 400 yards rushing, and WNG could not run the ball on Langdons D but they did pass all over Langdon...but i see Langdon stopping the pass and putting this one away this week! should be an interesting game!

R3 #1 - Stanley-Powers Lake (10-0) @ R4 #1 - Hazen (7-2) 28-20

This should be a fun game to watch, i dont know much about these two teams but it sounds like they are both pretty deadly, i am going with stanley because they were here last year and know how to win! should be a good game.

Best of luck to all teams remaining!

Your lack of insight disappoints me OKCFan. Other than Friday, your midweek post is the only other thing I look forward to during a work week.

So sorry. When a guy truly doesn't know much about any of the 4 teams remaining, he doesn't make stuff up to sound informed.

Langdon dominated Westhope in their game in the regular season, don't see a change coming unless Westhope stops their actually pretty predictable offense. Fetsch can't throw very well. I see Langdon not giving up much points. 26-6 Langdon wins easy

Not familiar with teams from the west, expect Stanley to win though.

Dominated them?..i wouldnt say that because it ended up to only be a 6 point lead at the end of the game, but langdons pass defense played really poor and thats why it was close in the end. And you think Langdon has a predicatable offense how?...and Dalton Fetsch sounds good? i mean they broadcasted on the radio that he passed for over 1,000 yards in that last game against Park River (isnt that pretty good)?, where are you getting your predictions from just watching or experience? just wondering??

Interesting to note about the domination of Langdon in the first game....why can't anyone be honest here? The final score of their regular season game in Langdon was 42-36 Langdon, with the go ahead touchdown scored within the final :20 seconds of the game. Either team couldn't stop the other. Westhope couldn't stop the run, and Langdon couldn't defend the pass. This game is going to come down to two things: coaching adjustments from the first meeting and players making big plays when they need to.

Here is my prediction on the game:

W-N-G 32
Langdon 30

**Also, going on the fact that each week, WNG has been the majority to lose each week, and they still get it done**

Westhope had a good run which IMO will end this Sat. LM by 14

SPL I haven't seen them get much respect this year. They seem to be flying under the rader and racking up the wins. With them having to travel with a 10-0, IMO will get them fired up for the win and to take state for a repeat. SPL by 13

Pretty good? I would say that 1000 yards passing in a game has to be some kind of record! :D

I surprised that more people arent giving Hazen a little Credit, they beat Hear River pretty badly in their last game.

Stanley is a good team, but they also come form a much weaker region....

Hazens 2 losses were Heart River(only conferance loss, and Hazen was missing a few key players) and Beulah in the first game of the season, and Beulah is in the AA semi Finals...

im gonna give hazen the edge in this game.

I know absolutely nothing about the Langon/Westhope. I have good friends in North Sargent, and they said Westhope played solid. Langdon looks like a good team also, but i think langdon may have the edge.

Cant wait to watch this game. Should be a physical, fast and fundamentally sound football game.

Offense- Hazen. Hazen has a better player at the qb position. Although, Stanley has a better tailback than hazen does. Hazens line is just a shade better than Stanley's.

Defense-Stanley. Good speed at the LB position. Players stay home on misdirection plays. Held Killdeer to 31 yards in the first half. 2nd half was all academic.

Special Teams- Even. Both teams have their best athletes on the field.

Intangibles-Stanley. yes both teams have been in the big spot. Stanley has found what it takes to "win" in the big spot.

I am guessing this game will come down to whatever team can cause a turnover. Both clubs are very good football teams
Stanley-27
Hazen-20

The east game i have no clue so not going to comment. It looks like Westhope is peaking at the right time, but Langdon must be a good team as well. You dont go 10-1 by accident.

People on here know Hazen has had very capable teams over the past several years to make it to the end and compete in the championship game, but they never seem to be able to finish the deal.... Thats why I'm picking Stanley for out west.
