Verbal Commitments/Signings?

Postby DisKey24 » Thu Jan 19, 2012 11:10 pm

I understand that signing day isn't until Feb. 1st, but I am just wondering if anyone has heard of any players around the state who have verbally committed anywhere?

I have to imagine Hanson's prospects of playing aren't very good when UND signed Joe Mollberg from Detroit Lakes. Mollberg was being looked at by Minnesota before Philip Nelson signed and had offers from NDSU and SDSU. He was supposedly NDSU's #1 recruit.

edit: unless he changes positions

Mollberg elected to go to UND because he looked at the depth chart at NDSU and saw 3 or 4 QB's ahead of him. UND has nothing in line at the QB position.

NDSU obviously would have liked Mollberg, but he took the easier road.

At NDSU they like to say "Bring on the competition"

UND has a transfer from North Carolina, QB Braden Hanson.
