Ball Hawking safety with wolf back there is amazing! Ironheart and Swenseth can get after the quarterback and shut down the running game as we saw with smith. On the offensive side of the ball they've got very good quarterback play out of the junior beau errickson and wolf is just flat out amazing. I think dl will win by a touch down or 2

I thought smith had 250 yards? I wouldnt consider that shutting him down.

SHANLEYS GONNA TAKE 'ER HOME!!!

51 in a game or practice? Cuz I seen a lineman kick a 55 the other day without a black tee but it was jus a mess around thing. game n prac to diff things[/quote

Smith had 244 on 46 carries with two touchdowns. they did shut him down he didn't have his usual long runs that he normally did. if u run the ball as many times as smith did and u don't get at least 200 yards I'd recommend a different game plan

I am just throwing this out there. Matt Hagen from Velva 'A' was a lineman played both ways and was the kicker as well. He held the Dakota Bowl record with a 32 yd field goal until he was beat by another Velva kicker a few years later. I saw him kick from 55 yards in practice and make them, now he wasn't that accurate or consistent from that distance but he could make them, it was proven how much confidence coach sandy had in him in the state semifinals when he was brought on to try I believe a 53 yard attempt to win the game late in the 4th qtr, but as most would he missed it. Game and practice are 2 different things, but I think if a team had a consistent kicking game it could greatly impact a close game such as a playoff or championship game even in high school.

To watch kids kick 50 or more yard field goals with out the black tee.... N them making one out of forty is kinda like saying any kid that has making a full court shot by just throwing up a lob should be in the NBA

I have watched both Shanley and Devils Lake play, both are very good teams. I guess we will know in a few days who is the better team. Good Luck to the Deacons and Firebirds.

See Me, can we please try to use some proper grammer when posting. This is not one of your worst posts that I've seen but you do know that it is "and" not "n" right?

Yes, I find it really annoying when people abbreviate a bunch of words and sometimes it makes it hard to understand what they are trying to say.

regardless to your grammar problems, i highly doubt the kicker with have a huge factor in this game, but you cant forget that PAT's are very important though. DL already lost a game this year by one point, i'm not sayin it was the kickers fault they lost but if he wouldve made it there may have been a different outcome of that game...Best of luck to both teams

In high school English, that is considered a run on sentence. I find them annoying.

OK, children. Proper grammar is encouraged so there are no misunderstandings. Now, back to the topic.

but that's just a completely bias opinion....obviously you want them to win if your on the team since you know what there practices have been like, haha although i think DL comes out on top also
