The teams in Class AA.

4 of the 16 Class AA teams left in the state are still undefeated going into Week # 4.  There will be 3 or less teams after next week due to one game this week featuring undefeated teams.

Hazen at Minot Bishop Ryan

Hazen is the only team in the state (of 106) that have pitched 3 consecutive shutouts to start the year.  They'll face #1 ranked Minot Bishop Ryan who is coming off quality wins at Rugby in Week 2 (20-13) and at Dickinson Trinity in Week 3 (26-7.)  Bishop Ryan won last year's meeting against the Bison in Minot (20-14) when Hazen was ranked #1 in the polls.  Hazen has a chance to return the favor Friday night.

Fargo Oak Grove is riding high after last week's win over previously #1 ranked Devils Lake Firebirds (3-0.)  The Grovers will face Valley City this week, a team they defeated 42-12 last year in Valley City.  Oak Grove will play it's next three games at home.

Devils Lake plays at Bottineau this week.  They'll look to get their offense going again after last week's shutout loss.  The Firebirds averaged 33 points per game in their first two games.  Bottineau was 1-8 last year in Class AA West, with their one win at New Town (18-8).  Devils Lake was  1-8 last year in Class AAA East, with their one win vs. Fargo Shanley (13-0).

Grafton can equal it's win total from last year with a win Friday night in Rugby.  They are 3-0 and will face their toughest game of the year against the Panthers (1-2.)  Both of Rugby's losses were to quality opponents and both were within a touchdown.  Rugby lost in Harvey (#1 in Class A) in week # 1 (19-14) and lost to Minot Bishop Ryan (#1 in Class AA) in week # 2 (20-13).  Rugby won last year's game vs. Grafton (21-6) at home.

Carrington is the only team in the state in any class that is still looking for it's first points of the season.  They've been shutout their first three games (40-0, 32-0, 39-0)  The Cardinals will look to change that against Central Cass at home Firday night.

Dickinson Trinity scored just 1 touchdown in 2 of their 3 games this year.  Only one time all last year, in 11 games played, did the Titans score fewer than 14 points in a game. (a 14-0 loss in Hazen)   The Titans will look to exploit a Bowman County's defense that has given up an average of 42 points per game in thier first three games.

Beulah (2-1) faces a (0-3) New Town team Friday night.  The Miners defeated the Eagles 42-0 last year in Beulah.

The Standing Rock Warriors are coming off an overtime victory (8-6) last Friday night over New Town.  They'll face the defending Class AA Champion Watford City Wolves (1-2)  After an 0-2 start, the Wolves defeated Beulah 29-12 last Friday.

Here are the 4 Class AA Undefeated Teams (after Week # 3) :

Hazen 3-0 (vs. Minot Bishop Ryan on the road)

Minot Bishop Ryan 3-0 (vs. Hazen at home)

Fargo Oak Grove 3-0 (vs. Valley City at home)

Grafton 3-0 (vs. Rugby at home)
