I'm intrigued by the Hillsboro-Central Valley v. Kindred matchup this Saturday. I've had the opportunity to see the Burros play earlier this season--when they beat Beulah by two touchdowns in Coal Country. They appear to be the team to beat in the East; but then they were pushed to the limit by Devils Lake a couple of weeks back. Kindred got off to a roaring start this fall and spanked a pretty solid Hazen squad last month, only to get blanked by Valley City in its next outing! So, it looks like seeds 2 through 4 in the East Region are up-for-grabs (among Valley City, Kindred, & Devils Lake) heading into the last two weeks of regular-season play. What a log-jam there will be if the Vikings can beat the Burros tomorrow! And H-CV still has to get past Valley City next week to secure the East's top-seed for the state playoffs. Out west, I pick St. Mary's to defeat Hazen tomorrow afternoon. The Saints let one get away a couple weeks ago when they were overtaken in the 2nd half by Beulah. I think the Saints' balanced offensive attack will allow them to prevail over the Bison, with the West Region's #2 seed hanging in the balance!

Good game but 7 turnovers by Kindred is not going to win these type of games. I don't know the stats of the game but I would not be surprised it Kindred had more yards than the Burros.

this is what KRJB radio had for game summary and stats on their website. Not sure if they are considered "official" or not. Either way total offense was pretty even. But turnovers had a huge impact. Kindred committed 5 according to this. I know there were at least 4 in the 1st half, but don't recall if there were any more prior to the game-sealing pick on Kindred's last drive.

Hillsboro-Central Valley 13 at Kindred 6

The Hillsboro Central Valley Burros scored twice in the second quarter and held on for a 13-6 road win over the kindred Vikings. The Kindred Vikings offense controlled the ball for a majority of the first half but could not finish drives due to four first half turnovers. Meanwhile the Burros took advantage to score on a 55 yard reception and 2 yard run from Oscar Benson to lead 13-0 early in the second quarter. Kindred's offense re-grouped and got on the scoreboard with a 44 yard field goal before halftime from Dawson Schaffer. The defenses held the offenses in check in the second half with Schaffer again connecting on a field goal from 34 yards out. Kindred had a final opportunity to drive down the field and score but Hillsboro Central Valley's Kaden Pastian stepped in front of a Viking reciever for an interception and the Burro offense was able to run out the clock to finish the game.

Hillsboro Central Valley (8-0):
228 yards total offense (104 rushing, 124 passing), 1 turnover, 9 first downs, 2 penalties/30 yards
Oscar Benson - 21 rushes, 62 yards, TD, 1 catch, 55 yards, TD
Gavin Wright - 2 catches, 69 yards
Finishes regular season next Friday versus Valley City

Kindred Vikings (6-2):
225 yards total offense (178 rushing, 47 passing), 5 turnovers, 15 first downs, 1 penalty/5 yards
Dawson Schaffer - 8 rushes, 83 yards, 2/3 Field Goal attempts
Gunnar Braaten - 21 rushes, 76 yards
Finishes regular season next Friday versus Devils Lake

I found 226 total for HCV and 235 Kindred. 6 Turnovers for Kindred. Four Fumbles and 2 picks. They had another fumble that they recovered.

AA is wide open and it really depends on match ups.
And he can hit from 50 with no wind or 54 with wind at back.
