Ok - how about some fresh stuff to talk about? I'd love to hear what others have to say about the following questions (regarding AA teams that made state).

1) What team(s) have the best running attack?

2) What teams(s) have the best passing attack?

3) What team(s) have the best special teams (punter, fg kicker, kickoff)?

4) What team(s) have the deepest bench?

5) What team(s) have the best ability for quick strike scoring?

Just to start off the thread...

1) Wahpeton, Carrington
2) Grafton, Bottineau ?
3) Fargo Shanley (at least FG kicker-wise)
4) ??
5) Grafton

1) I'd give it Wahpeton
2) Grafton - lots of weapons
3) Shanley - great fg kicker and he can put it thru end zone on kicks with help of little wind
4) All the teams I've seen this year are pretty thin on the sidelines. Grafton looked the deepest.
5) Grafton - hands down.

I'd give Grafton the running game over Whapeton also. When they played earlier this season Whapeton had something like 150 yards rushing and Grafton had around 250 yards rushing. I also dont know who you could give the deepest bench to. Pretty much every team only plays about 15 players besides special teams. I guess I havent really seen many backups play for teams so I dont know who would have the best depth.

When you hit the Key to anything.....Car, Pickup, Four Wheeler, Etc Etc....it creates a Spark.....then the whole thing fires up.....then you press the pedal down and go.....hopefully you don't use the brakes when not needed (penalty's)....and you begin to hit on all cylinders and your runner runs like never before and your punter kicks like never before and your defense pursues like never before and your offense executes like never before....and Yes...You are supposed to be here....its the Playoffs and you earned it!!!!...

Friends don't let friends drive Fords.

That's quite the analogy. I can see sort of see what you're saying.

Don't know the west teams, but in the east.

Best running game, Wahpeton. Watched them play in 40 mph wind, so I don't even know if they have a passing game, but their running game was tough.

Best passing game, Grafton. Hanson to Jiskra is as good as anyone I've seen. Add in three or four other recievers who are also very good, plus good protection (and good scrambling by Hanson) and there are just too many weapons to stop.

Best special teams, Shanley. Well coached, don't make many judgement errors, and a good kicker. Interestingly, I would say Grafton's special teams are definitely one of their weak spots. Grafton has lost the special teams battle with several teams they have played this year.

Best bench, no idea. I don't know if anybody really can go two deep in high school ball without giving up some talent. Casselton had lots of bodies on the sidelines, and it seemed like they rotated a fair amount of kids, so I assume they have some depth.

Best quick strike, Grafton. Grafton is a big play type of offense. No ground and pound. Big plays on offense and defense have been the rule rather than the exception for this team all year.
