Looks like Concordia could be the school to go for ND girls. This years team has 5 former ND players on it. Maddy Gendreau a junior from Bismarck along with freshman Bri Flynn. Also they have Senior player of the year freshman Amber Schaack and runner up Senior player of the year freshman Andrea Klug. Also have freshman Jessie Kongelf from Minot. Great to see and all the girls play regularly with Klug splitting time with sophomore Madison Denny.

Concordia Cobbers have set a school record with a 10 game unbeaten streak after beating St Marys yesterday 2-0. 7-0-3 in that stretch and are now 3rd in the MIAC and clinched a playoff spot for the 5th consecutive year. Seniors are leading the way.

Maddy Gendreau was named MIAC mvp for the season. The former Miss Hockey from Bismarck has had a stellar 4 year career as a Cobber. Concordia will play St Thomas Saturday in the MIAC semi finals. Teams split earlier in the year with former Miss Hockey Amber Schaack getting the game winner in game 2 to salvage the split.

Unfortunately the Cobbers lost 3-2 ending their season. Fitting though that Maddy Gendreau scored the last goal of the year. Going to miss her next year.

Kara Tupa from Fargo who is at UND will be transferring to Concordia this fall. With her and a recruit from Bismarck there will be 8 North Dakotans on the team next season.

And she was cut after her 6th game.

Cobbers currently in first in the MIAC at 7-1. Now they have the tough part of the schedule coming up with Augsburg, Gustavus, and St Thomas. Andrea Klug from West Fargo has been great in the net with a league leading 6 shutouts.

Barta made her debut last weekend at St Thomas. Looked better this past weekend against St Olaf. Still getting her feet wet but I think she will be a good player for the Cobbers down the road.

Big matchup in the MIAC this weekend against the 2 top teams. Concordia and Augsburg both 7-1 in the conference face each other in Moorhead Friday at 7 and Saturday at 2. Currently the Cobber's have the number 1 offense in the conference and Augsburg has the number 1 defense in the conference. Something has to give.
