This would be my All-Decade team. Maybe not the 5 best players in the decade, but the 5 that I think would make the best team.

1 guard: Craig Nelson
2 guard: Kyle Carr
3 foward: Brady Trenbeath
4 foward: Adam Grant
5 center: Kyle Iverson

For people picking Iverson and not Lindahl, why? Just wondering

I'm not sure if I ever seen Lindahl play. Like I said, those maybe aren't the best 5, just the 5 I would take to make a team.

Back ups

1 guard: Chad Glasser
2 guard: Jordan Cooper
3 foward: Evan Lindahl
4 foward: Brian Dykema
5 center: Kyle Nelson

Craig Nelson was the better point. Glasser may have been the better scorer. But Nelson was a better "point" guard.

Are you kidding me? The guy had a good state tournament in 2005 and other then that he wasn't anything great. He was a good player yes, but no where near the top in the last 7 years. Johnson wasn't even the best player on his team his senior year.
wow ask any person who has played him and i think they would beg to differ.  he started at cando when he was a freshman.  he is one of the best players and if u played him u would know that.

I have played him and no i wouldnt beg to differ. No doubt he is a great player and athlete, but he is no where near making the all decade team. He is a very good player though no doubt but he is not one of the best.

I'm going to give my starting 5 so whether or not these guys are the "Top 5" is debatable.

PG - Craig Nelson

SG - Chad Glasser

SF - Brady Trenbeath

PF - Chris Reinhart

C - Evan Lindahl

5 Mr. Basketball Candidates from Class B should be tough to beat.

I personally think that Iverson was the better 5 man in High School. Evan played the post - but I wouldn't say that he was a true 5 in the high school game - plus if you ever saw Iverson - he was unreal - he just played on a team that got little to absolutely no exposure - it would be tough to judge who was better in High School at the 5 just because Lindahl was more versatile and didn't play it a lot.

Really hard to argue with Nelson at the 1 spot, but if there was a second team I would go with Tony IH at the point.  73-8 as a starter at point, 1400+ career points and 2 time all-state.  Nelson deserves the first team nod, though.

I would put Chad Glasser as the PG ahead of Tony Ironheart.

I'm not going to say if he is deserving or not. The fact is on my team I have 4 other guys to score. I don't need a scoring point guard. I need a point guard that is going to control the tempo, limit turnovers, and be a good enough shooter to hit a shot when needed to. All of which Nelson did. That is why he would be my starting point guard.

1. Craig Nelson

2. Jake Holen

3. Kyle Carr

4. Brian Dykema

5. Kyle Iverson

A lot of good players to choose from, i had a hard time leaving out Kyle Nelson from May-Port

I like the looks of that list. But really it is so hard to choose an All decade team for North Dakota because there has been so many good players that have come and gone in the past 7 years. What about Payton Tivis or Chad Glasser they certainly could be counted as two of the best

A-Squad-I am going to go with a small/quick lineup

G-Craig Nelson- very disciplined, doesnt turn it over, and can shoot when needed.

G-Jake Holen- best shooter i have seen play in class b basketball.

G-Kyle Carr-smart, can take the game over.

F-Brady Treanbeath-great defender, does all the little things.

P-Kyle Iverson-tough to stop inside, can also hit the mid-range jumper.

B-Squad-Perimeter-Young/Post-Old

G-Payton Tivis- very good t/a ratio.

G-Mark Bakkum- unbelievable shooter and passer, makes great decisions.

F-Luke Lorenz-great defender, can hit shots when needed.

P-Brian Dykema-moved well, and was very fun to watch

P-Kyle Nelson- Was a winner.
