Thinking that BHS and Bis Cent are the likely Top two. Then it will all depend on whether or not Minot retains their Top scorer (A.S.).....???? I am sure he will be putting forth a great effort at USA NTDP this week. That is a dream come true just to get invite.. good luck to him.
Botno? Maybe 3rd...But I would imagine that the fire-power they had this yr. will be less(can't imagine the H.Aide kid staying--when Jr teams already want him)
Jamestown---coudl scare everyone.
Then add in Williston.....
BHS/ Century battle for crown---again!
No big changes ouot here in the West!

Who are the Jr. teams wanting Harrison Aide? I live in Bottineau and have not heard boo about this. Everything I have heard is about Cody Longie. Aide is good but when the game turns physical he is invisible. I really hope he makes it at the jr level but don't see it happening. I could see Longie leaving after next season though. The kid is big and strong and very skilled.

I definitely feel Jamestown over Hazen in rankings. Bismarck and Century are my top two. Mandan is definitely under rated this year, they could be a decent team that scares some people. And as of players leaving all I know is Alex S and Tony German from Bismarck.

I'll rephrase my rankings I think Bottineau, Jamestown, Hazen-Beulah, Mandan, and even Bismarck High will fight for the 2-6 spots. They will all be evenly matched for the most part.

Hintgen from Williston is gone also. AAAU16 hockey in Omaha.
German-BHS is gone... Colorado Rampage AAA U16
A.Schoenborn- Minot high...is gone AAAU16 Omaha
All three of these guys would have been TOPS in the WDA this yr.
Their teams will feel the loss of each of them.

I agree with A.Schoenborn and T.German but I've never heard of Hintgen but good for him for going to AAAU16

1. Century/Bott.
2. Bott/Century
3. BHS
4. Mandan
5. Jamestown/Minot
6. Minot/Jamestown
7. H/B
8. Williston
9. Dickinson

I am not too sure about everyone who is returning, I don't think Bott lost a whole lot maybe I am wrong but they seemed to beat everyone but CHS. I son't know a whole lot about Mandan but they had a couple kids that were underclassmen last year that were pretty impressive. Jamestown seems iffy could be 3-7. Minot usually puts a pretty decent team on the ice no matter who they lose, could end 3-7. H/B has a lot of upper classman and I have been waiting for them to make me eat my words for the last 2-3 years but still havn't for some reason I don't think it will this year, but please feel free to prove me wrong. Willy and Dicky just seem to be on a bad downward slump.

I've heard Mandan has some players out from the football season that could really hurt the begining of their season

1. BC (one word: Depth)
2. BHS (same word again: Depth)
3/4/5/6
Mandan: good young top line, but falls off fast after that. Goaltending suspect
JT: will have a top line, but defence is suspect. Goaltending solid
Bott: will have a top line but are easily controlled. Goaltending suspect
Minot: Lost Medler and Schoenborn. two big holes to fill
7. HB has goaltending but can't play 51 minutes of high tempo hockey and lost top 3 scorers to grad
8/9. Will and Dickinson (diseased)

BHS/BC/JT/and Minot go to state...again

I agree that H/B has had problems playing consistently but if they do play the entire game and not take periods off they will compete to go to state

Bismarck Century should not be at the top. They lost about 12 seniors last year. And they have 5 returners who played varsity last year.

Tyler Miller is the best back-up JV goaltender in the state........one word depth.

1. Bismarck Century
2. Bottineau/Rugby
3. Bismarck High
4. Jamestown
5. Mandan
6. Hazen/Beulah
7. Minot
8. Williston
9. Dickinson

Changed my rankings around after what I heard happened at the Bismarck Jamboree. Hazen/Beulah fell out and mandan came out strong. Gave Bott a better rank, the coop with rugby could give them the depth they need.

I'm not so sure about Bismarck High if they lost to west Fargo by 5 and Jamestown only lost to Grafton by 3. Is anyone else thinking maybe Bis High was over rated.

So is anyone thinking the rankings may change a little? Hazen/Beulah beat Jamestown and Mandan I think they could possibly move up?? What about the two Bismarck teams? I think they are struggling a little to start off the season, I know they will come out strong. When is Bismarck Highs next game? When does Century play again? I will be eager to see what they do in the next couple of games. I have not heard to much about Minot yet.

How did century have a slow start. They went into a shootout against north and beat west. Last night they beat hazen 5-1. I'll admit they had a rough first period but they really finished strong.
