Here are my overall ratings for the 09-10 season
Bismarck: Will be good like always they return Krueger, Winkels, Romanick, and Dvorak in the net. All top defencemen return except Tyler Peterson.
Bottineau: Won’t be so good, they lost allot of their key players maybe win a few games.
Century: Will do very well. 4/5 of their top scores and there goalie were underclassmen last year and Which kept up with almost everyone last year. i would take them for possible state champs in 2010-2011 season.
Dickinson: will be ok, lost frenzel.
Mandan: should be ok.
Minot: Very good!!! They return Schmitt, Martin and Medler.
Jamestown: Bad. Lost scoring players and goalie
Williston: Awesome!! 7/10 top scorers return including Dickerson, Nelson, Hanson, Brostuen and Evanson in net.
So i would rate.
#1-Williston
#2- Minot
#3- Bismarck High
#4- Century
#5- Mandan
#6- Dickinson
#7- Bottineau
#8- Jamestown
1-3 could be in different order. all are going to be good.

Williston loses Kihle, Axtman, Gardner, Linghor, Anderson and Hagen.

Axtman was a huge part of that top line, I'm really curious to see who steps in to replace him next to Nelson and Dickerson. 19 goals and a big, physical presence are not going to be easy to replace.

Other than that, there's not going to be much dropoff than last year, when I thought they were better than they showed in the playoffs. I really, really like Evanson in goal. The kid works hard, and he took a big leap forward in golf this season and I wouldn't be surprised to see him do the same here. They return five starters on defense as well.

Heard the same thing. Bobcats going to taqke him. And good for Nick R. He is an excellent D-Man.
Will still get to see him play at the Rink- if with the Cats.

Fair enough, I'll rephrase :)

They return five defensemen who were on regular shifts last season.

Bismarck is only returning ben peterson of there top defensemen from last year. Minot lost a couple of good players and century is having 2 or 3 guys leave to go play juniors.

Considering I'm the only vote for Bismarck in the WDA thread I don't really see people believing that. I have been impressed with Williston the past few years as well so I'm not going to be surprised.

yeah they didn't play great that game but they still won the conference easily
but i will say that williston is a decent team probably second out of the west this year
with the loss of some good seniors from bismarck williston could give bismarck a
run for their money but i still think bismarck has too much firepower

I agree completely. Bismarck will be the team to beat this year. They always are. This is the way i see it:
1. Bismarck High
2. Williston
3. Century
4. Minot
5. Mandan
6. Hazen-Beulah
7. Bottineau
8. Jamestown
Could be a toss up between 2-3 but i don't think Minot has enough firepower to catch up with Century or Williston. But Bismarck High better be careful this year because every team is gonna throw everything at them to try and knock them down.
