How can you put Jamestown, who just lost to Bottineau, higher than Bottineau?

couldnt agree anymore... why is it that bottineau and hazen get no credit... didnt shanley beat dickenson, who lost to hazen? i guess this isnt a major deal... because both games were close and scores mean nothing and i do realize dickenson beat hazen, but bottineau did beat jamestown, and you have them ranked at number 5. If bottineau has nothing going for them, then why could they beat a team that is said to do something good.

i heard from a few people from williston that bottineau played them pretty tough, and lost because the puck just happened to bounce in favor of williston. they claim it wasnt a 5-2 game, i guess it was better than the scoreboard showed.

Because I was at the game cause I was curious to watch Jamestown and Bott. got a lot of luckey bounces and Jamestown had all bad ones.... They hit the post like 3 times and had a few breakaways.

I would like to see puck possesion time. Not a real good game either way, not much flow, but puck possesion was dominated by Bottineau in my opinion. One of the weaker Jamestown teams that I've seen. I do know this, the Magi are going to be much tougher than people thought.

I have to update my predictions from April of 08, here they are.

1. bhs - numbers and coach, won't loose a game in the west.
2. whs - coaching seems to get more out of thier players than anyone else.
3. minot - should beat everyone in the west with the size of thier program...but?
4-5. century or mandan
6-7 jhs or bottno - who ever decides to show up everynight to play
8. dhs - they should get the home ice for the play in game.
9. hazen

Better move hazen beulah up, they are proving alot of you people wrong. They already beat shanley and jamestown.

Sorry but i just have to..."your" should be spelt (yes it is a word) "you're" (you are)

It's a common mistake made by common men :D

My updated predictions
1. BHS
2. Williston
3. Century
4. Minot
5. Mandan
6. Dickinson
7. Bottineau
8. Hazen
9. Jamestown

Century and Minot could easily flip-flop....bottom four could be in different order but i dont see any of them cracking into the top 5

1. Bismarck
2. Williston
3. Minot
4. Century
5. Dickinson
6. Mandan
7. Bottineau
8. Jamestown
9. Hazen

I believe there is going to be a pretty clear speration between the top 4 and the bottom 5.

4.Mandan No goalie but decent defense should keep them in it. Dobier 10g 10a not much ice time. might work well with Riopelle.
5.Williston average team
6.Jamestown Goalie looked good at end of season. One man offense.
7.Century goalie? low talent level.
8.Bottineau goaltending? same old same old
9.Hazen not enough players to go full 3 even if goalie keeps them in it.
As you can see I feel that the teams have to have a good goalie in order to keep these spots. I think 7 out of the 9 teams lost their starters. So if they have goaltending problems, like fargo south did until half way through the season, that could put Jamestown and Williston up higher since they know their starters.
Overall talent level in west goes down.
