Picks already! WOW..
But here Goes---these will obviously change, when things are ironed ouot on which kids go play JR's and forgive their JR/Sr Years.
1. GF Red River...deserves #1---but challenge is there from GPR
2. Grafton-- could be the #1.... easily....
3. Fargo South...depends on the Sr. core...will they will they not? Could be 3---could be 7.
4. Gf Central...could go up--- could go down... Maybe 3 is better But for now 4.
5. Fargo Davies...sleeper---who knows. but they return all.... or most anyway.
6. Fargo North... this is also a hard one. Early success, late season dumps
7. West Fargo...lost a ton.... And will probably see at least 1 maybe 2 leave.. dragging guys to Jrs.
8. Devils Lake...without the D 'Man- Thompson...Nothing left, cuppboards are bare. Lost a ton of Sr's...this was suppsoe to be the yr. That is why KT stayed(had opportunities to leave for AAA and Jr.s)...

just My opinion on what and how the 2011-11 season in the EDC could shape up.

I believe that john leclerc of grafton and logan Thompson of grafton are top candidates for Mr hockey in 2011-2012

Here are my picks for now...
1. GPR- returning a lot of players from last years team, very skilled
2. Red River- deserves to be in top 2, but i dont know for sure if they will stay
3. North- also returning most of their team from last year, very young skilled team. very hard working. great coach, could move into the top two.
4. Central- losing their whole first line, which was the heart and soul of the team, but still a solid contender.
5. South- this is a tough one, dont quite know where all of the seniors are playing yet
6. Davies- Very young team, has some talent, but the coaching ability and leadership isnt quite there
7. WF- Not many players returning, some might leave to play Junior hockey
8. Devils Lake- Nothing left. had almost all seniors last season, and also losing their best player in Keaton Thompson.

1. Red River- with two top forwards(Fugleberg and Gilbertson), their starting goalie, and top defenseman(Lizzotte) returning, its hard to deny them as the top seed
2. Grafton- didn't lose too many seniors, always give you a game, should still be solid even without Callaghan(Bismarck-NAHL)
3. North- showed they can compete with some big wins last year, should replace seniors fine; also returning starting goalie
4. Central- even without whole first line, GF teams are always there at the end
5. South- could be higher if whole team was as good as first unit, top-heavy
6. Davies- have some skill, don't seem to have the drive like teams above them
7. West Fargo- everyone that made last year's team successful(Johnson, Holland, Jonasson, Tendeland, Munyer, etc.) is leaving besides a few players
8. Devils Lake- lost many seniors, not to mention future D1 player and NHL prospect Keaton Thompson

I think that Grafton losing Callahan is a big deal. They are going to need some other kids to step up and become bigger scoring threats. Callahan was one of the big shot takers and now that he is gone it will take a while for others to adjust. I look for Grafton to struggle early and not come on until tournement time.

1 Red River ( Neis, gilbertson, fugleberg, lizotte, few other good players)
2 South ( should have a pretty solid 1st line, iffy in net)
3-5 WF/North/Davies ( up for grabs, all should have pretty solid teams)
6 GPR (Lost a few seniors, and losing callahan is a very big deal)
7 Central (lost their heart and soul players to graduation, along with Johnson)
8 DL ( pretty much lost their whole team)
