---- Result ----
Fargo South - 4
Red River - 3
(Overtime)
-----------------

Well I started this one a little late (game is tonight) so I'm not putting much into it. Who do you think will win and why? The winner of this game takes the lead in the EDC running half way through the season.

Fargo South is 8-1-1 and is on a 3 game winning streak since their loss to the Bismarck High team last week. South recently took the championship in the Kiwani's festival and stumped the #19 team in Minnesota (Apple Valley) 5-1 to take the championship.

Red River is coming off two victories, 7-1 over Devils Lake and 3-2 over Roseau [#55]. In the last 4, however, they are 2-2 after losing to strong competition from Minnesota in their 3-6 loss to Blaine [#13] and 1-4 loss to Bloomington Jefferson [#1]. Red River has run up the score on several EDC teams but this will be their first big EDC competition so far this year. In the coming week Red River plays all 3 EDC powerhouses, including Fargo South, Central, and Grafton.

Benson has stood by his decision by the line changes and they used those same lines in the Kiwanis tourney. After working on team chemistry during Christmas break it is pretty clear that south can now win with anyone on the ice.

South wins 3-1 with great goaltending and defense once again.

south won 4 to 3 in overtime. Close game but south controlled most of it. Bucholz made some very timely saves. Decent game for south but it was a little sloppy. They seem tired from the championship performance in rochester. I dont expect any more of that low key play they had tonight.
