south might need to only play the first 3 lines only, the 4th seems very weak. the defense should be strong. i predict them to be 2nd or 3rd in the east

I agree, I think they are going to be a very tough team this year.

So Narveson won't be playing Defense? He was very likely going to be one of the top defensemen in the state, I don't see why he'd be replaced. However, the Burdick/Wagner/Lueke/Hooey lineup should be able to roll with four defense, as they've all started in Varsity hockey games.
Huguelet, Mauch and Briggs all started several games if I remember correctly, but Orson, Sorenson and Stellrecht (sp?) didn't get much playing time, but did have varsity playing time last year. All the players for forwards (excluding Narveson, of course), I have never seen on their varsity roster before. South will likely have to roll two lines of forwards (and apparently defense) in order to keep pressure on this season, unless I'm missing something. However, these two lines seem very strong.

Narvison is playing forward because they have matt winkels out of their lineup. They will change that when he returns i think..

South opens the season 0-0-1 with a Tie against Moorhead, 2-2.
South lines (as I could collect), were:

Huguelet, Mauch, Briggs
Sorenson, Stellrecht, Orson (Sorenson was replaced by Narveson and didn't play after the first period)
Holt, Narveson, and Kiem (Narveson was replaced by Winkels after the first)

The defense seemed to roll two lines.
Lueke Hooey
Burdick Wagner

You could tell that they were getting tired (both teams), it seemed very hot in that rink.

I noticed the heat in the rink during the shanley gfc game as well. Had to take the old coat off. They have the same problem at the Ralph sometimes.

Very strong showing by Fargo South tying Moorhead 2-2 and beating WBL 4-3 this week. Very, very impressive. Good job to Fargo South representing North Dakota.

It was a very exciting game tonight against WBL! After WBL scored within 30 seconds of the game, South went on to score 4 unanswered to when it was 4-1 in the 3rd. WBL scored 2 goals in the 3rd and we held out for the win near the end. Last year WBL chanted "state of hockey" at the end of our game....you know we returned the favor tonight! ; ) haha
