You will see a few, but we won't know until later this summer.
There might be some big time kids moving over.

thats a joke that kids just switch schools to be on a better team.........you should have pride in where your from and where you go to school and do your best on that team and do your best to make that team better..........not just jump ship if your not the most talented team or you dont like your coach or some other bs

With Demers going to play for the Force next year, I don't see GPR repeating as State Champs, here is how i see the Top 4 in the East, assuming Demers does go play for the Force.

1. Fargo South- Really young team with a good goalie in Buchholz and a solid Defensive core lead by Narveson, Burdick and Josh Hooey, who i.m.o. is going to be a stud in these next two years.
2.RR- Crary, Howe, and Bancroft will be fine and they will have a solid goalie in Aaron Meland, plus they always reload, I hear they have some really good young kids coming in, one who is an 8th grader that could see a lot of ice time as a freshman.
3.GPR- Gaustad and Mohagen will have to carry the load without the State Tournament MVP from the season before, will have a decent returning goalie in Monsebroten and a couple of good d-man in Hills and Adam Schaefer
4.GFC- Only going to loose 2 of their top 10 scorers in Riopelle and Klockman, but I don't see them making it over the hump this year. There has also been a lot of talk about some very young talented hockey players making the move to RR. Assuming they all stay they will be in this spot due to the fact that they have not found a solid goalie.

they can move but its kinda ridiculous to switch schools just because your hockey team isnt the best

if anyone transfers from central it will probably be the kids that dont see much ice time. i have a hard time seeing anyone thats meaningful to the team transferring.

grafton will pace the EDC next year with or without demers. one player will not break that team they are very good.

I read today in the Herald that Chad Demers will be playing for the Fargo Force under Dean Blais and attending Fargo South this winter. How will this affect the EDC outlook now?
The difference between a successful person and others is not a lack of strength, not a lack of knowledge, but rather a lack of will.

I dont think it will affect grafton to the point where they dont make state, but it could make for closer games and could affect graftons chances of repeating that championship.

Will Chad Demers be playing for Grafton at the High School State tourney? That's all that's important.
If he is still playing for Grafton, I still expect them to do very well, nothing short of a finals showing.

edc i think is still grafton. they return a starting goalie, 3 defenseman, and six forwards who all played on a state championship team last winter.

it is going to be between grafton and south for the top spot in the east, then probably both GF teams for the 3 and 4 spot.

I agree with Sweeper on that. Though I still see GFC as the #3 seed, FN or RR the 4th. (I'm expecting RR, but hope FN can do even better this year)
Without Demers, it's gonna be tough for GPR to break South's D core. One player can make a huge difference, and for GPR, I think Demers was that person.
Good luck to him on the Force though, hopefully he'll turn some heads.

I think Red River will get the 4th spot now that one of central's best players, Bryce Anderson, transferred there. He will be a big loss to cental this year, because that kid can play.

I don't see why Bryce would switch to RR. Central has the (in my opinion) stronger team coming up this year. Switching to Red River kind of diminishes Centrals hopes a bit (albeit a small amount). I can see Demers going to the Force, since it's a junior team, but I don't see why Bryce would switch to Red River.

its truly unfortunate to see athletes decide to change schools through their high school athletics career.
