I maintain a national database of winningest HS football programs.  You'll find the top 800+ at this link:  http://texashsfootball.com/board/index.php?s=045a129af02c73a9bbb87cd1757a2c8c&showtopic=4549

Need input on North Dakota schools.  Have only come across numbers so far on the following:

-Grand Forks Ctrl---429-333-34

-Cavalier-----------357-181-7

-Stanley-----------320-241-10

Can anyone assist further with other schools ?

I'd be interested to see Fargo South, Fargo Shanley, Velva, and Watford City when it comes to most wins. I would think Shanley has the most wins with Watford City a close second. I could be wrong.

ndfan, I have partials on each of those, but have posted only the schools I could come up with all-time figures on.  Hoping to catch some posters on the board with connections to some of the schools and their all-time results.

Atalltexan, help me out with something.  What are the enrollment divisions for the various classes of Texas FB?

The last  I heard, 2500 and above was 5A, 1500-2500 was 4A, and I'm not sure after that.  I had a brother in law who is an official in the Houston area.  One year, we went to the state 4A championship game in the Astrodome.  I think it was College Station against A&M Consolidated.

Minot, I don't have the complete list breaking out each segment.  Surprisingly, the State doesn't show it on their site.  The attached link shows all the 5A teams in the State with their enrollments.  Their a couple in Laredo with 1500+, and one in the 1700 area, but I think they received exceptions based on their location.   I believe the official cutoff is around 1900 to go to the top bracket.

Is North Shore good again this year?  Or is it one of those things where they are always good?

Here's link to preseason State rankings in 5A, the top class.  Northshore is right in there:

Minot,

There are several national polls, but in the Tony Poll, NorthShore is ranked #25 in the nation:  http://www.tonybianco.com/high_school_football.htm

You could try someone in the sports department at the Minot Daily News, the local newspaper.  You could get ahold of a Michael Linnell., Sports Editor. His e-mail is:  mlinnell@minotdailynews.com.  I don't know if he specifically would have that info, but he can probably point you in the right direction.  Hope that helps.  Will try and find another source if I can, and let you know.

Found it.  Bismarck Tribune, 10/13 article.  Just a one line mention saying win was 500th according to local sports historian, Ray Maloney.  He contributes to paper from time to time.  I'll get in touch with them tommorrow, and see if I can't get more info.
