Does North Dakota have a "North Dakota Athlete of the Year"? Who would that be and for which year? Doesn't have to be a senior. One for girls and boys. Kristen Killoran- Maple Valley is brought up in another thread. Laura Roesler from Fargo South comes to mind. What do you think? Would they have to be a three sport athlete? Does playing in college have anything to do with it?

I know the bismarck tribune does one. I don't know if they do it for the whole state or just the immediate bismarck area.

Not sure, but is that similar to the Wendy's Heisman awards? I think they do one male and one female. If I remember right, Mark Bakkum, Steele, and a classmate of his were chosen last year.

Kind of, but the Heisman relies heavily on grades and community service when choosing a winner.
