we spend a lot of time talking about best coaches is in one sport. But recently talked to dennis horner who coaches at midway and he is a guy who does not recieve much press but he has to be mentioned as one of the top coaches in the state. FOr all that he has done for a school. He coached basketball, baseball, and football all at one time for several years and he coached the girls basketball team as well i think. He just loves to coach young players and said that is his passion. right now he has a pretty light load as he only coaches football and baseball. when you live in the middle of nowhere sometimes it is tough even put a team together. FOr the most part he has always put out competitive teams and if not they are ready to play and respect the game. THe thing about guys like dennis horner it is not about how many wins he has, or even how much he knows about the game. It is about teaching kids how to play a game. I just think it is neat find guys who love to teach and coach and have put all their time for a school. Does anyone else know about other coaches who coach two or three sports and just really love to coach young players that you don't hear about too much.

And Well deserved!
