this is a new tradition but North Border boys basketball.... first year of the co-op (00-01) they won state. the next couple years they were down, but both years being in the region tournament. then the 2 following years they were in the region championship game losing to MPCG both times and this year they are 9-2.

Good thing this isn't about academic excellence.  Good luck with that life thing that happens after HS.

You are personifying why people HATE Trinity.

Say that stuff about that thing again would you?

Hard to argue with Napoleon in football and wrestling. but overall with boys/girls bb and football Linton is got to be on the short list

Type in English please.  Not only is your lack of respect for everyone repulsive, but so is your inability to articulate your thoughts in manner consistent with someone who has received, or is receiving, an education.

good point ping pong and well put.  i think dickinson trinity BOYS has had the best sports tradition this century. 9 state championships, fb player of yr, sr wrestlter of the yr, ndapsppa? athlete of the year, 3 state championships in one school year. quite a few other runner ups and third place finishes at state tournaments. the boys athletics won the special achievement award(banner in the school im sure), only 2 other schools have that. money in the bank for DT.

i know this is about overall but im just sayin, they probably are too

type in english? just cuz i use numbers and letters in place of words? I guess I can slow it down for you if I must. I will try and remember to be proper on all of the posts you are on. Are you happy now? but good point anyway carolina blue. only skool 2 win fball, bball, and track in tha same yr. also, all 7 region championships. i dont care who u r. thats pretty good.

jeez, talk about lack of respect, tiger pride. i think you should take at look at yourself. All he said was trinity has the best athletic tradition in the state, which i agree with btw, and you blow up on him about hating trinity. I think that's some pretty major disrespect there. I am a yankees fan too by the way, and get pretty sick of ppl saying about how yankees win because they buy their teams. Well then, i guess every other team gets their players for free then huh? And when you talk about feeling sorry for the small school kids that trinity has picked on, trinity has a as low or even lower enrollment than most schools in the area. All this same arguement about trinity recruiting and every1 hating them for winning all the time is getting a little old, even though I'm from bowman. If you hate them winning, then maybe your team should take more time in practice to get better and less time whining. There, that's my opinion

yeah since 1979, they have 25 state titles, 3 runner ups, and 4 national record years. They haven't gotten worse than 2nd place since '79, that's insane

i was floored when griggs co beat them this year at state...i honestly didn't think that i would ever see bowman be beaten. i think i checked the results about four times to make sure that i wasn't just reading them wrong.

yeah, try being on the team when it happened. We had a pretty schocked group of kids that day. The boys were definately pretty sure we weren't gonna win, with new town and fort berthold, but we thougt the girls were gonna run away with the title, literally

Not knowing where Linton is at, telling someone they don't know what they are talking about, claiming THS has a lower enrollment than most of the area schools.  THS has 104 male athletes according to the NDHSAA web site.  The only schools out west with more are Hazen and Beulah.  If you have read previous posts I stated that THS has done a tremendous job in the last 10 years with all of their athletic programs.  They did however struggle in the early 90's and late 80's most notably while they were still in class A FB(there were only three classes 9man/11man/class A).

10 to 15 years might be your entire life but that doesn't constitute a tradition that spans a century (a century is 100 years).

What Bowman has done in cross country is remarkable not just on a state level but on a national level as well.

Linton has managed to maintain a level of success in boys and girls BB and FB regardless of the division they are placed.  They have enjoyed success over the last 25 years as well.

Trinity didn't really start excelling until Beulah went class A.  Now that they are class B again they'll give THS a run in most years.

Minot Boys Swimming has a lot of championships: 1975, 1978, 1979, 1980, 1981, 1982, 1983, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006

Fargo Shanley in Football:1950, 1952, 1953, 1954, 1955, 1956, 1957, 1958, 1967, 1968, 1969, 1970, 1972, 1973, 1974, 1975, 1976, 1977, 1981, 1983

BHS wrestling:1960, 1961, 1962, 1963, 1965, 1972, 1973, 1974, 1975, 1976, 1978, 1979, 1980, 1981, 1982, 1983, 1984, 1986, 1989, 1991, 1992, 1996, 1998, 2000, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005

Mandan's Girls BB has been in I think 10 of the last 11 state championship games winning 7 and I think their win/loss record is 257-29  from 1994 - present.  Not sure about the exact number but I recall Grand Forks Herald having an article on it last year before the state tournament.

Beulah is also a bigger skool if we r gunna talk numbers. plus, they will proly move back up to A in about 2 yrs since their current enrollment is that of class. A. i heard that im not 100% its true but im almost positive. wen they took the enrollment 2 yrs ago it was down enuf but they r back to A enrollment. plus, THS has 175 HS students so im guna say ur 104 male athelet count is wrong.
