Just wondering which Senior high schoolers this year will make an impact right away this coming fall. I'm sure a lot if not all the NDSU and UND guys will red shirt this coming year so who makes impact for the DAC schools right away? Will any of the UND or NDSU guys make impacts after their red shirt year?

By impact i mean start and play and help the team, doesn't mean ya have to be an all american your freshmen year.

Maybe Reggie Stecher kicking at UND or is UND's main kicker back?

Jeff Glas graduated they have two kids who red shirted last year. Mike Allen a Cali kid and Brandon Hellevang who played at Fargo South. I would say Hellevang has the upper hand on that job right now but could be anyones job.

Hellevang is actually from North, and I do expect he'll be UND's kicker this year. I was impressed with him at the Shrine game last summer. It will be interesting to see how he does at the spring game on Saturday. As for other North Dakotans coming off their red-shirt year, I expect Chappell and Strouth to potentially make an impact this fall.

It'd be a bad sign if NDSU ends up taking the redshirts off of any true freshmen becaause it'd probably be because of injuries. Matt Anderson could probably play but NDSU has some scary good linebackers right now.

Keith Buckman from Belfield has the best chance of the redshirts to crack the starting line up.

ndfan, it has nothing to do with impact players in college, but I sure hope they can make an impact at the next level! I was too lazy to start a new conversation!!!

Red shirted last year, Bison are suppose to be pretty solid at linebacker this season so not sure what he will get for playing time this year.
