They actually took one of my teammates too back in 1998.  JJ Syvrud, but he retired just a couple of years ago.  He played for Jamestown College, but was originally from Rock Springs, Wyoming.  So there are some boys that play in ND that are from other states that may not get recognized as a ND player.

Justin Frick signed with the Tampa Bay Bucs also,  but Kyle Steffes was the only true North Dakotan to sign with a NFL team from NDSU.

I hope he does better in the nfl than Lamar Gordon. He was alright for a couple years and now he keeps moving from team to team. Hopefully Kyle will see some playing time.

yeah i watched him play in person several times in college he was amazing. It looked for a bit with the rams he was on the rise to become a good back but then he got traded and it went down hill from there.

Maybe Steve Walker and Joe Mays will get drafted or signed by a team next year also

Its going to be very tough for a white running back to make it in the pros, but i wish him luck, i can see steffas on special teams.

I'd be pretty amazed if Walker, Mays, Nate Safe and Drago the Punterian don't get signed to teams next year.

Just heard about Adam Tadisch - that means four Bison seniors signed NFL contracts this year.

i hope that NDSU keeps on getting the talent that they have been getting because they are one of the best footballs teams to watch and represent ND very well

Very true. I think NDSU's future exposure in the Gateway and Mid-Con will be great as well and it will help to keep getting the talent. Plus NDSU will be eligible for the playoff now and if there are people looking to transfer from FBS, NDSU would be a good choice. :)

Race has absolutely nothing to do with a player's amount of success at a position.  Granted 99% of runningbacks in the NFL are black, but if Steffes is better than the players around them and gives the Jets a better chance to win, he will play.  The one thing that does hurt him is his lack of true great speed, with the speed of NFL defenders he could have a hard time finding space to run.

Ur going to have to xplain this one to me cuz he is extremely quick and his speed is definately not the issue, its his size, i dont' think he is quite big enuff to be successful, he will make the team, but if he puts on 30 pounds and keeps his speed, hes going to be good, real good. i think he was the fastest one at one of the tryouts.

If Joe Mays has a good year, stays healthy, and the Bison have a good year. He will get noticed and maybe get invited to the combine like Craig Dahl did this year.  I think he will get drafted if he runs a 40 time under 4.7.  I know hes a little short, but he makes up for it with quickness and strength.

He is in NFL Europe playing right now. He is property of the KC Chiefs.

There is some talk that Zack Harrington of Carrington is on a level where Rob Hunt was, any opinions on that?

if zach can play for a team that does some postseason damage he should get a serious look from some scouts i would guess. if not, he'd probably be one of those guys that could go in the fifth round that is a hidden gem or maybe a fa signing. tough to say though...gotta make it through the next couple years without blowing a knee or something...i go back to the chuck klabo scenario where he probably could have latched on with a team but then blew out a knee and lost a bunch of speed and had to become a civilian.
