First of all Michelle Wie is a joke. She should stick to the LPGA were she hasnt even won a tournament yet.  She made one cut in a mens tourney and that was a smaller tours tourney in japan(or some asian country)  she doesnt and never will compete with the men on the PGA TOUR.  Thats a joke!!!!!!!!!!!:dude:

Off of Michelle Wie and back to fishing.  Any word on the top fisherman in the state so far?

Still think fishing isn't a sport?  500K says you're thinking it over.

If winning 500 K makes something a sport, then isnt poker a sport.  They win a heck of a lot more than that for sitting on a stool.  I guess that Johnny Chan is one of the best atheletes in the world.

Well said ndplayer.
It's a round ball and a round bat, and you got to hit it square.

How about the Spelling Bee coming up on ESPN.  Who would you guys predict as the best athlete in that sport this year and some of the best spellers of all time are?

I think the answers to both of those question lie in the same answer:  John Louis Tandy Tamplin.  This is his 5th consecutive year at the national bee.  That is amazing.  But look out for Rajiv Tarigopula, got real potential to take it down this year.  Can't wait.

You win money in poker, is poker a sport?  What about the Hot Dog eating contest?  That envolves some talent/skill.  But I would say fishing is more of a sport than soccer, it shouldn't be a sport if you can end in a scoreless tie.

You can end in a scoreless tie in NFL football too. I don't think it ever has happened/will happen but it CAN happen. Should football not be a sport?

nov. 10, 2002

Vick rallied Atlanta from 17 points down in the fourth quarter, and the Falcons withstood Maddox's franchise-record 473 yards passing to tie Pittsburgh 34-34. It was the NFL's first tie in five years, and only the 16th in league history.

Before hockey's shootout overtime rule change, scoreless ties used to happen all the time.

Logan Robertsdahl, Christine Bruins, Andy Wirt all won awards at the State FFA Convention. I think FFA is now officially a sport.

Bobby Jo Anderson won $1,000,000 in the mcdonalds monoply game that is now going to be a televised sport on the health channel because you can win money

Patty Higgins just won $75,000 for splling hot coffee on herself at wendys i believe they are looking for participants in court cases this year it is the new extreme sport

Seriously just because you can win money does not make it a sport
